"What will I do without you, Toki" Han smiled at her, the two walked till they reached the kitchen so Han can place the box down to open it. "You know? There's enough in here for the both of us. Why don't I have ARIA play us the final film of the live action Kenshin series on Cineweb while I fix us some tea to go with it?" "Oh! So like a dinner date?" Han blushed, "N-No just two friends hanging out" Toki laughed, "Just messing with you. And sure. Note: Cineweb is this world's equivalent to netflix. "Awesome." Han replied with a smile as Toki skipped over to the table and pulled their chairs out. Han could tell from the sounds of the chairs that she was setting them up with the specific seats that would be close to each other and still able to see the TV. One at the head of the table and the one next to it. (Heh...y-yeah...it's just two friends hanging out. We're not dating. Come on now. Don't be silly Han.) "Han? Your heartbeat is speeding up and your blood flow has increased and you're heating up." ARIA Listed. "Shall I play Romantic Music?" "I-I-I...n-no! No! We're good! We're good. Just, ah, just the movie will be fine." Han replied quickly.

Maybe it's because she's in the presence of an older vampire and maybe it's because she don't often get compliments from older vampires. She couldn't decide which is which but her complexion went pink real fast. "The atmosphere was getting hostile and I didn't want The Lord Ruler to be in danger." Lilith gave the young vampire the privacy she needed to chat with Rosamond. This was Carmella's moment and she did the house proud tonight. Which is something she'd most certainly throw at Sigruna's face when she and Darius is done with their mission. She smiled and held back a laugh, (Oh I'm confident Loretto would've taken that fool.) "Oh now don't be so modest honey! Ya defended yer family honor 'n pride 'n sent that clown runnin' back ta his circus! Ya demonstrated lightnin' fast reflexes, blindin' speed, splendid swordsmanship 'n da devil's peepers! I saw that look ya gave him. It was beautiful. Ya don't normally pipe devil peepers like that from halfs. That was da kind of nightmarish look ya pipe from da older of our kind. There's no doubt about it, Carmella, yer definitely Da Dark Lord's daughter. 'M sure he's swellin' with pride right now wherever he is." Rosamond complimented her. (Your compliments are gratefully appreciated!) Loreto responded cheefully. "Awww, you're sweet." Carmella responded. "So what do you think will happen to him?" "Hmmm, well, assumin' he doesn't 'ave a pump attack, which I admit 's sincerely possible after all that, then word about 'dis lil' mishap will doubtlessly reach da word of da magic council 'n they'll dispense judgment. I can't say for sure what will happen ta him after that but he'll either be banished, likely ta somewhere really bad, or be harshly punished. Worst case scenario? he'll become a Disgraced." "A disgraced, huh?" That's right. Da disgraced 're fallen mages who 'ave tarnished da monicker of da magic council 'n 're mystically branded with da mark of da disgraced upon their backs. No matter what he does after that or what he wears ta cover it, da mark will always be illuminated upon his back for everyone of da supernatural community ta pipe." "It's even worse than that." Ramona informed Carmella. "That mark signifies to everyone who sees them that the bearer has lost access to their magic and it's open season on them. Which means that unless someone agrees to shelter them or they have somewhere to hide?" She slid a thumb across her neck. "You might as well declare them exkommuniziert." Carmella considered this and ran down a mental checklist of anyone who might be willing to shelter him after word got out that he just beefed with The Red Dragon Princess and only came down to one potential possibility. She quickly narrowed it down to one potential possibility and smiled. "Hmm? Those gears a' turning, your highness?" "You know me." Carmella opened a black portal. "I'll be right back. I need to make a quick call. Please, feel free to continue schmoozing. BRB!" She waved to everyone and hopped into the portal.

Just, ah, just the movie will be fine." Han replied quickly. The pair sat down at the table to enjoy their meal while they watched the movie together. Toki beamed with anticipation as she watched and waited for Han to take his first substantial bite of the exquisite cuisine. As Han savored the delectable dish, an explosion of flavors engulfed his palate, transporting him to a realm of unparalleled culinary delights. In that moment, all his worries dissipated, and he found himself immersed in a world of succulent feasts and opulent desserts. His taste buds were heightened to an extraordinary level as the flavors danced in his mouth, washing away the concerns and troubles of the day. He gasped and nearly dropped his fork. "Wha...what was that?" Toki laughed. "Yeah, that's about the same reaction everyone else had. Pretty sure we had a few, well, Chidori called them 'Foodgasms' which...well...a bit crude but not entirely wrong either. Miss Suko really outdid herself with this feast." She gestured to the meal. "Whatever has been troubling you from your trip is about to be washed away, Hancakes! Super food, a movie and a friend! Can there be anything better?"

Violet's heart pounded as she raced through the smoky labyrinth of ancient catacombs, the air thick with the acrid scent of burning stone and wood. Her brown skin gleamed with a sheen of sweat, and her short black hair starkly contrasted against the darkness, catching the flickering light of the flames that danced around her. In her arms, a small leather pouch wriggled, the terrified yelps of the puppies within urging her to move faster. The ancient catacombs reverberated with the thunderous footsteps of the ogre as Violet sprinted through the narrow passageways. The puppies that she had within her possession were part of a trafficking operation and were going to be transported through the catacombs and to the auction where the pups would be displayed and sold to the highest bidder. But there was a wrench in that. Violet's that wrench A bellowing roar echoed behind her, the ogre's rage palpable. Its hairy, horned form crashed through the catacombs, eyes blazing with a primal fury. Violet's mind raced as fast as her feet, seeking out any source of magic in the decaying structure. The ancient walls were steeped in latent power, and she drew on it, weaving the energy into a protective shield as she darted through the flames. A fierce gust of wind, summoned from the depths of her soul, extinguished the fire blocking her path, allowing her to push forward. The stone beneath her feet vibrated with each of the ogre's monstrous strides. She needed to buy more time. One of the puppies wriggled its head out of the pouch, its tiny eyes wide with fear. It barked ferociously at the ogre, its small voice lost in the chaos. Despite the dire situation, Violet smiled at the moxy of the little creature. "This one is a keeper," she thought, her mind racing with exit strategies. Reaching a crumbling archway, she paused for a heartbeat, gathering the ambient magic. With a swift motion, she channeled it into the floor beneath the ogre. The stone groaned and then shattered, collapsing into a gaping chasm. The ogre roared in surprise, its massive form plummeting into the darkness below. The sound of its fall echoed through the catacombs as Violet resumed her flight. The exit loomed ahead, the promise of safety just beyond the flames. She pushed herself harder, her breath ragged, her muscles burning. With one final burst of speed, she burst out of the catacombs and into the night. Bursting out of the catacombs, she stumbled into the winter night. The cold hit her like a wall, the snowflakes swirling around her starkly contrasting to the heat she had just escaped. She fell to her knees, gasping for breath, and set the pouch down gently. The puppies peeked out, their wide eyes reflecting the flickering firelight from behind her. "We made it," she whispered, her voice hoarse. The puppies wagged their tails, and the brave one licked her hand in gratitude. She gathered them up again, holding them close as she trudged towards the distant lights of the city. 'Even in the summer, it's always Winter in Valyskria. And always dark. Small wonder vampires love this place.' Violet zipped her coat with the pouch and the puppies inside to keep them warm. "Let's go home"

'Even in the summer, it's always Winter in Valyskria. And always dark. Small wonder vampires love this place.' Violet zipped her coat with the pouch and the puppies inside to keep them warm. "Let's go home" Saving PUPPIES with a super cool pulse pounding action movie exit! A perfect introduction to the Super Detective! That rescue is going down in history! IC! Violet used a simple spell to keep her and the puppies warm and comfortable as they made their way across the snow. It was quite a long trek but a surprisingly pleasant one thanks to the magic keeping them comfortable so she just kept right on going. She walked on top of the snow now, now through it, on top of it light as a feather. It was a good way to relax after her wild adventure. Violet kept right on walking until she finally arrived at where she'd hidden her car. Violet waved her hand and her car's cloaking spell dropped and the doors opened up for her. Violet placed the puppy bag on a seat and used another spell to secure them before she closed the door and then she circled around the car and got in from the other side, buckled up and drove home. She was halfway there when she sensed the presence of somebody inside of her office. Apparently she had a visitor. The presence didn't feel negative though, it didn't feel bad, it felt familiar in fact. It was a welcomed presence. One of her friends had come to visit. She relaxed in her seat and turned on the radio for some silky smooth jazz to help her wind down after her adventure. "I've got some good news boys! Not only are you going to a healthy and happy new home but you're also going to meet a friend of mine when we get there! Everything's coming up puppers today isn't it?" They barked happily and Violet laughed and kept on driving through the city. Violet eventually returned to her office and parked her car. She got out and returned the puppies to her side as she walked up to the door. She could smell the hot cocoa from out here and hear the jazz music inside. Apparently her visitor was not only courteous but had a sense of humor as well. The visitor was also powerful but it didn't feel dangerous. Her visitor was keeping their power inside and relaxing right now so obviously they weren't in any danger. Violet unlocked the door and stepped inside, took off her coat and hung it up and walked inside to find The Vampire Princess herself sitting at her desk with her feet kicked up and a cheeky smile on her face. "I know what you're thinking Vi: 'The rain pelted the city like a million needles, each drop carrying the weight of a thousand unspoken secrets. The night was as dark as the bottom of a coffee cup, and I had a bag full of puppies and a heart heavy with the burden of the life I led. My office door creaked open, and I stepped inside, shaking off the cold and the damp. The scent of wet fur mingled with the musty aroma of old files and stale coffee. I set the bag down gently, the tiny yips and whimpers filling the silence. That's when I saw her. Carmella, the vampire princess, was lounging in my office chair like she owned the place. Her porcelain skin glowed in the dim light, and her crimson lips curled into a smile that could melt the coldest of hearts. Two steaming cups of hot cocoa sat on my desk, a tendril of steam curling lazily towards the ceiling. "Evening, Detective," she purred, her voice smooth as silk. "I thought you might need something to warm you up." Of all the detective office's in all the world she had to walk into mine.'" Violet cracked up laughing. "Appreciate the Noir Narration Carm! The music was an amazing touch!" She managed to regain the composure until she made it over to her desk and opened up the puppy bag to finally let the little ones out of their captivity. They immediately began exploring the office and sniffing and jumping at her and Carmella and wagging their little tails. 'Keeper' immediately wanted uppies with Mommy so she helped him up and let him relax on her lap while she sipped her cocoa. "Ohhh that's good." "The bourbon might keep you loaded but this is what you need to really warm back up." "HA! That's only for special occasions and Tracer Bullet is the drinker. I keep myself more balanced. So what's up? Did the meeting go alright? Are you looking to adopt?" "Tempting but I'd like to talk business first. Specifically regarding a certain circus clown who raised a ruckus at the meeting." Carmella informed her as she put her feet down. Violet could immediately tell that something had gone seriously wrong with the Council Meeting. More specifically that The Mage had done fucked up. "What happened?"

Violet scratched the bridge of her nose in irritation before she ventured towards the cabnit where the wine is. She opened a bottle of the good stuff, that rich creamy flavor and poured it into her coffee and some of it to Carmella's before she puts the lid back on, levitated it and had the cabnit door close once the bottle is placed where it belongs.
"First of all, I know your Mum. She and mine used to fight those Scarlet Sash basterds together during the Global War. She's a good woman so I wouldn't blame you if you had struck that Sod in the bollocks for that"
"Believe me Vi, it was tempting but I was in the presence of The Lord Ruler so I had to rein that one in. And compliment appreciated." Carmella say, taking a sip of her coffee.
One of the puppies, the brave one from earlier managed to escape from the pouch. It shook some of the snow from it's fur before it walked to Violet who just took a seat on the sofa. The puppy laid down and got itself comfortable on the wooden floor of Violet's office.
"I know who's adopting you eh little one" Carmella smiled at the puppy.
"Its taken into consideration. It's unfortunate. Ever since Paul got that Archmage position I've been questioning it. Hell Saffron and Amaranth deserved that honor. He hadn't changed since Arcadia" Violet sighed crossing her legs
Carmella tilts her head. "You guys go to school together"
Violet scoffed. "A Academy that housed 150,116 students and he's the one that had been a pain in my arse."
"Was he a good student?"
"Son of a Noble Family, Magi Prodigy, Head Boy, more like Head Boy of Cockroaches, and self proclaimed rival. If you ask me the only thing he deserved is that Mark he'll inevitably get" Violet said

Yeah I can see a scrub like that becoming a dimwit of a Mage in his adulthood. IC! "The Mark Of The Disgraced, right?" "Yeah. Bellitas Curse. I'm sure you've been informed about what it is and what it means?" "Indeed. I actually wanted to talk to you about that." Carmella sipped her drink before she lowered her cup. And while he might be an idiot he still has a lot of magical information in his head that really shouldn't get out...or be ripped out of him. Hence I have a proposition for you." "I'm listening." I have an alternative solution: Ask Saffron to do it. You said that either she or Amaranth would've been better choices and I agree. So why not give Saffy a chance to demonstrate how much better she is than him as a person too? Give him to Saffy and The Raven Heart Guild and let them put him through his paces. Start him off with grunt work and make him actually work his way back to a position of respect. They'll be punishing him and sheltering him in the meantime." Violet considered this for a moment before the smile returned to her face. "The Raven Heart Guild, eh? Ohhh Carmella that sounds positively diabolical."

Carmella chuckled, taking one last sip of her coffee before using her chi to clean the cup thoroughly. "I knew you'd like the offer," she said, leaning down to pet the brave puppy now fast asleep. "You've had a long day, haven't you, boy? Sleep well and keep an eye on your companion."
Violet scoffed, a smirk playing on her lips. "Still on the fence about that one."
"A bond between a vampire and his familiar is unbreakable," Carmella said, her tone light but assured. "The same goes for a person's spirit companion. This little guy bonded with you the moment he saw you. If I were you, I'd start thinking of names for him."
Carmella turned to leave, her movements graceful and fluid.
"You know," Violet called after her, a teasing lilt in her voice, "if this were a noir film, the femme fatale would've given the hard-boiled detective a kiss."
Black aether swirled around Carmella as she turned back, her eyes twinkling with mischief. She blew Violet a kiss before vanishing into the Umbra.

"You know," Violet called after her, a teasing lilt in her voice, "if this were a noir film, the femme fatale would've given the hard-boiled detective a kiss." Black aether swirled around Carmella as she turned back, her eyes twinkling with mischief. She blew Violet a kiss before vanishing into the Umbra. Violet smiled and blew one right back and then she relaxed on her sofa and pet the adorable little puppy at her side. "Well boy, if you're going to be sticking around with me then I might as well give you a good name. How do you feel about...Keeper?" The puppy looked up at her and crawled up onto Violet's lap and curled back up again. Violet laughed. "Alright then! Keeper it is! You're going to be The Alpha here until the day that I find these other guys a good home. In the meantime, I'm going to give my sister a call." She gestured and the phone levitated into her hand and she called up Saffron. - Carmella returned to The Meeting to find the remaining Vampires either kicking back and relaxing now or packing up to leave. "Welcome back your highness." Ramona greeted her. "I trust the meeting went well?" "Just arranging for the clown to receive proper care after his punishment." Carmella responded.

Can there be anything better?" Han smiled, in that particular moment, anything from that meeting earlier: Crowley's influence, that vampire's cryptic gaze upon him, none of it matters. "I wouldn't trade this moment for anything"

Han smiled, in that particular moment, anything from that meeting earlier: Crowley's influence, that vampire's cryptic gaze upon him, none of it matters. "I wouldn't trade this moment for anything" She raised her cup. "To lifelong friendship!" "To lifelong friendship. May we forever stand together against the world." "I'll drink to that." They clinked their cups together and relaxed as they drank from them together and then they sat back and enjoyed the movie together. After all the combat, sword-fighting, beautiful acting and emotion of it all, Kenshin was able to put his past behind and return home with Kaoru to live out their lives in peace as his scars finally began to fade. It was a beautiful message and one that gave Han hope for the future. A future without The Organization. A future without Crowley. A future of friendship and laughter and love with his found family, his real family, here in Hinansho. A peaceful future. He sniffled a bit at the ending despite his smile and Toki immediately took notice and grabbed a pair of tissues and handed them to him. Han sniffled and wiped his eyes. "Th-thank you. I'm sorry. I was just...it was just really moving you know?" Han asked. "Heeey now. Don't worry about it. Feel free to let it out, Han. You shouldn't feel bad about enjoying the movie. They're designed to make you feel emotions like that. If it's making you tear up then its just doing its job." Toki reassured him. "But hey! If you ever feel sad again?" She quickly reached into her pocket and pulled out a small blue ticket and placed it in his hand. "Just show me this. Show me this and I'll be here for you. Always." Han lowered the tissue and looked down at the ticket.
