Yonezawa Masago sank quietly as she sat sideways in her desk staring up at the sky. For as tomboyish as this brown haired ponytail rocking girl is, complete with wearing her school uniform like a jacket and wearing long high up socks, she has a lovely singing voice when she bothers to put in the effort. Which is usually when she's with her friends or alone and relaxing. On the rare occasion that she really sings her heart out in public though she can draw a crowd. Of her friends group she is undoubtably the ringleader and one of the more popular girls at Wakano High School. Right now though she just drew the attention of her Tahara Himeko. "Wow, Yoney! You are psyched for the meteor shower tonight, huh?" Tahara is Yonezawa's mischievous best friend who gives off the air of a clever and tricky kitten. "Is there anybody who isn't?" She asked as Tahara leaned forward and relaxed against a desk. "I'm pretty sure everyone's been counting down to it and I'm bringing everything to the show. I'm talking a blanket, drinks, snacks the whole eighteen yards. We'll have cameras set up and catch the whole thing on video!" "Don't you mean the whole nine yards?" "Eighteen is two times nine. I'm going above and beyond." "Of course you are. Just like in everything you put your mind to. Because you like you always say-" "Anything worth doing is worth going above and beyond for!" "Anything worth doing is worth going above and beyond for!" They finished simultaneously and laughed. "My parents might have drilled that into me but it's a philosophy worth living. Go above and beyond in everything in your life and the money will rain." "Ohhhh so I assume that will include taking Nishikawa on a date to the shower as well." "Huh?" "You knoooo~oowwww!" She leaned over to her and whispered in her ear. "Taking him to the shower? Making it raaaaiiiin?" "....Do you want me to throw you out the window?" Yonezawa challenged. Tahara backed off and laughed. "God you're easy!" "Ah shut it and take your head out of the gutter." "Oh fiiiine. Just for you and only for right now." "Cool. So then. We'll meet on the roof at lunch to go over our plans for the meteor shower one last time." She explained in a stern manner before perking right back up. "This is going to be great! I just know it! It's a sign, Tahara, a sign of great things to come!" She declared confidently. "I certainly hope so. But, ah, will you be taking the school's noble prince with you or not?" "I mean..." She looked back as the other students began filing into class. "He's probably already got a date but what the hell, I'll shoot my shot. If not, I'm still going with my bestie so with all things in life I win either way."

With her shining glasses, shy and cute demeanor, clean and proper school uniform and twin braided pigtails, her whole outward appearance exudes cuteness and innocence. The boys in this school wear striped, nylon trousers that reach down to about their calves and thus reveal their sporty loafers, all of which are colored almond. They're paired with regular, diagonally striped socks and a thick belt colored jasper. An almond fairly short sleeved shirt is roughly tucked into their trousers and covered with a comfortable jacket. A short tie splits right down the middle of their often unbuttoned jacket and is thinly checkered in almond and jasper. He's wearing a standard shirt and buttoned it up fully to support the graceful bow tie he's wearing. On top of the shirt he's wearing a trendy vest with 6 buttons, it has a narrow v-line, which allows for the top to remain visible even when the suit's jacket is buttoned up. The jacket is a perfectly tailored fit for him. It has a subtle pinstripe pattern which gives the suit an elegant look. The 4 buttons of his single breasted jacket are all buttoned up, he wants to look stylish after all. The jacket is longer at the back, it has no vent, there's a single pocket on one side and there's a breast pocket which contains a stylish pocket square. He's wearing pants which copy the style of the jacket, both in color and pattern and they perfectly complement his shoes. He's wearing an elegant pair of brogue monkstraps. To top it all off he's wearing a stylish belt, which can be accompanied by a hat and cuff links. Combined with his fancy watch it's clear that his outfit is intended to show off his class and status, especially over the students. Professor Goya cleared his throat. "Alright now kids I'm glad you're all here today and actually awake. I know you're all eagerly anticipating tonight's meteor shower but I want you to focus on the here and now because we've got a big test today and I want to see you kids focused on it! Now this shouldn't be too hard, it's just 53 questions, but that doesn't mean you get to slack off. Focus on your test, work hard, and do your best. I expect to see 100% effort from everyone! Got that?" "YES SIR!" "Excellent! It's kids like you that make Wakano High Proud! Now I want everybody in the front row to take one test pamphlet and pass it back." He informed them as he handed out the piles of test papers. The students took the papers, set aside their own tests, and handed back the rest until everyone had a test. Yonezawa accepted hers and passed the rest back and then looked hers over. Astrophysics is a complex field of study. Top students must be capable of a high-level of abstract reasoning and need the ability to grasp advanced mathematical and scientific concepts, including quantum mechanics, field theory, and vector calculus. It seems a little much for High School but that's just the kind of school that Wakano High was: A top notch ruthless education. (Good grief. What a way to start the day...) She readied her pencil and got to work.

She readied her pencil and got to work. OOC: Quite a school, eh? IC! Yonezawa carefully worked through the test over the course of the class. Slowly and methodically. She knew all too well that you couldn't just breeze through these kinds of tests. You have to take your time with them, read the questions and answer every part of it. While she hadn't studied last night, she was busy chatting and gaming with Tahara, Yonezawa knew the material enough to handle a test like this. She gradually made it through the test and it's questions like a lone warrior fighting through a gauntlet of opponents as she climbed the tower ala Game Of Death. Every question answered was a knockout punch to the jaw. Every problem solved was a spinning kick to the face to drop her opponent. The work to answer them was the back and forth match between the two opponents until she shut down her opponent's offense and provided the answer and sent her opponent flying with the knockout. Over the course of the class she whittled down the questions until she had them all answered. All fifty-three questions answered successfully. All 53 opponents laid out and defeated. She went back to the first question and made her way down the various questions to double check her answers and then she sighed with relief and turned her paper over so she could relax. She noticed out of the corner of her eye though that Uchimura was already resting. Apparently she'd finished shortly before Yonezawa herself. Good for her. Tahara eventually finished her test as well, turned it over and slumped in her seat. Her dizzy spiral eyes staring up at the ceiling as she rested from racking her brain for the test. Nishikawa finished his own test and turned it over as he relaxed. (Alright that was fun. I really hope we don't have another test next period though.) One by one the remaining students finished their own tests and turned the papers over. Once everybody was finished Professor Goya clapped his hands. "Alright! Well done everybody! Hand your papers up to the front desk in your row and I'll come by and collect them." The students did as he asked and walked around taking their test papers and returning them to his desk so he could grade them later. This accomplished he switched to a lecture followed by homework assignments for the rest of the period. - After class ended and while they were waiting for their next teacher, Uchimura got up out of her desk and walked across the room to stop herself in front of Nishikawa's desk. "Uh-uhm...excuse me...Tokuma? Is it okay if I address you by your first name?" Nishikawa shrugged. "I don't have a problem with it. What's in a name anyway? What's up?" "Oh, okay, great, ah, I was wondering...a-are you busy tonight? Because I was planning to go watch the Meteor Shower tonight and I was wondering if you...perhaps...had any arrangements? And, if not, would you like to go with me?" Yonezawa leaned back in her seat as she watched her. (Little late isn't she?) "Oh, ah, sorry I just made plans with Masago." Tokuma informed her. "We're planning to meet up at lunch to talk about it but you're more than welcome to join us if you want." "Oh...oh...alright...yeah, okay, no, that's alright, I wouldn't want to crowd the party. Sorry." "Hey don't worry about it, it wouldn't be a problem at all." "No, no, that's quite alright, it's cool. Thank you!" She apologized and walked back to her seat. " Huh. Uchi's a brainiac but she's a bit of an oddball sometimes isn't she?" Masago whispered to Tahara. "My brain is friiiiied...." Tahara moaned and took out her Titans Of Judgment Manga. "I need a cool down..." "Oh hey is that the new volume?" "Heck yeah it is." "Cool. I've got next read after you're done." Top students must be capable of a high-level of abstract reasoning and need the ability to grasp advanced mathematical and scientific concepts, including quantum mechanics, field theory, and vector calculus. It seems a little much for High School but that's just the kind of school that Wakano High was: A top notch ruthless education. (Good grief. What a way to start the day...) She couldn't wait to take pictures of them together with the meteor shower in the background. It would be the first things he did when the meteor shower started up and then share it with them. One day, one day for sure, she would go to space and travel among the stars. But for now? The stars would come to them. Yonezawa hummed to herself while she got set up for Chemistry alongside Tahara. This was their last class of the day and the two always partnered up to get it done right. "Showers of diamonds cascading down, like a quiver of arrows, pounding the ground. It'll be rough, and I've got my work cut out for me but..." She tapped her foot against the floor. "I don't belong down here, on Earth, shackled by gravity." She pointed at the ceiling. "I belong up there, traversing the stars, exploring the universe, checking out other planets...I've felt it all my life: The call of the unknown. The allure of the infinite, the thrum of adventure in my veins. It's like a siren's song, beckoning me to leave the confines of Earth behind and soar into the great unknown." She sighed. "I feel like I just have to do it. I have to leave the safety of our mother planet behind and venture into the void, to find out what lays beyond the reaches of human understanding. She waved and began scurrying around the room trying to find someone who was open. Nishikawa already had a partner, much to her dismay, so she switched tactics and went for the one student who was still open: Tanifuji Tsurayaki. One of Nishikawa's friends. If she could get close to him then she could leverage that to get close to Nishikawa. For now she would play it cool. "H-h-hi Tani. Can I call you Tani?" "Uhm..." "Great. You're so nice. It was a fun class and an excellent way to cap off the day.

I want to see space! It's so beautiful! It really truly is!" She closed her eyes and looked up at the sky with her arms spread out. "It's so amazing. It's beautiful even! Living down here, on the ground, with the sun baring down on us, with light blocking out the stars, people forget the details. Forget how amazing space dust, galaxies, planets, stars all of it truly are! It's like a magically decorated ceiling and we haven't even begun to explore it yet! Just consider this, right?" She opened her eyes and danced across the roof towards the others again while she continued. "We are part of a solar system, over 99.5% of whose mass is accounted by the Sun alone. All planets put together account for less than 0.5% and you can be assured that our thriving planet Earth barely seems to have any contribution, when we have planets like Jupiter which can fit 1300 Earths into itself." Reo spoke up first, "I've got a really nice camera set up in my backyard, so I'm going to take some pictures of the meteors streaking across the sky. It should be really cool!" Tsuyoshi added, "I'm planning on making a time-lapse video of the meteors with my phone. It should be quite the spectacle!" Hitoshi grinned, "I'm thinking of making a map of where everyone finds their meteorites and marking them on it. It'll be like a treasure hunt!" Ueno chimed in, "I'm going to bring my telescope and see if I can get a close-up view of any of the meteors. That should be interesting!" Mizuki smiled, "I'm going to invite some friends from school to come with me and just enjoy the beauty of the night sky together. We'll bring some blankets and snacks." Eriko finally spoke, "I'm going to try and find the biggest meteorite I can! I've got some special equipment to help me locate them, so wish me luck!" They all laughed and nodded in agreement. Yonezawa spread her arms outwards and then raised her head to the ceiling. "WONDERFUL! MARVELOUS! MAGNIFICENT! SUPERB! GLORIOUS! SUBLIME! You guys are the best ever! HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAA! Trust me guys! This is going to be amazing! It's the start of something great! Something amazing! The future is now!" She lowered her arms and pointed at her friends. "Your ideas are great! Everyone! She walked over to it, opened up the Getabako and took out the letter and she opened it up to reveal the insane ramblings of a demented madman. Yonezawa stared at it in disbelief and turned the paper over and back again. "The hell? Who in the actual hell wrote this garbage? Am I supposed to be intimidated by this? Pffft. Whatever. If you want to try and scare me? Show up and do it in person." She folded it back up, shoved it in her bag and retrieved her shoes and walked out of the school. She found Tahara waiting outside leaning against a wall. She immediately stepped up and waved to her but paused when she noticed the annoyed look on her face. "Ohhhh snap. You look mad. Did something happen in the club?" "Nahhh, they're all cool. It's this that's got me mad." She handed her the letter and Tahara looked it over with a look of surprise, shock, disgust and mild amusement. "Yeeesh. Who wrote this garbage? Do we have Goth Kids at our school now? Give me a second...let's see....no...no...that's not it...no...where is...ha! Found it!" She pulled out a pair of nunchaku and handed her a pair of nunchaku! "Behold!" "Uhhh...thanks? But I don't really know how to use these and are these even legal?" "So long as they're used for Self-Defense, yes, technically. Besides, you don't have to use them. Just pose like you can. Creep-o sees you packing? He's going to think twice!" Yonezawa told her with a big wide smile. Obviously getting way too into this. "I'm not a Sukeban, Yoney! I'm barely a Martial Artist! I'm a Yellow Belt!" Tahara reminded her. "Can't I just, I don't know, carry a taser or pepper spray or something?" "Boo. Spoilsport." "You know me, Yoney. I'll take boring but practical over awesome and impractical any day." The two girls shared a laugh together and then Yonezawa sat back down next to her and then she set the bat down and looked back at her phone. "I really should charge this. My phone's gonna be busy tonight." "Good idea." She got up and started to walk towards the bathroom when Tahara stopped her. "Yoney! Wait! I have an idea!" "Sure, what's up?" "Grab the bat and gloves again! Put the gloves on and rest the bat on your shoulder so I can get a picture!" "Oh! Good idea!" She did as her bestie asked and placed the bat on her shoulder while posing proud and strong and serious until Tahara took the pictures and then she posted them. "That's my girl." She walked into the bathroom to plug in her phone when Tahara called back out to her. "You really do look like a Sukeban though!" "You're not a Sukeban until you master the Yo-Yo! It's a rule!" Yonezawa called back. "Duly noted." She replied and plugged in her phone and then the two friends sat back down on Yoney's bed to work on their homework assignments together with the bat resting next to them. Normally they would find it a bit boring but after the sudden scare of the creepy letter it was a good way to start winding back down, chill out and take their minds off of it. Besides, Astrophysics assignments tend to require a good amount of brainpower and focus anyway, to say nothing of the other assignments, and they needed to take care of their homework before they could focus on the meteor shower. Fortunately they were able to work together and use their combined brain power to cut the time they normally would've spent on the assignments in half. It was still tough but that's the benefit of working with a friend. Time Passed and the two collapsed on the bed with their paperwork and books and assignments littering the bed around them. "Oh man that was bonkers. I'm drained after that." Tahara sighed. "Please tell me we can finally take a break." "We're all done so yeah, yeah we can definitely take a break." Yonezawa declared. "Be sure to pack up all your stuff first and then we can go have our snack break while we pack up our other snacks and drinks." "SWEET!" She sat back up and the girls packed up their homework assignments and then placed their bags on the bed. Yonezawa retrieved her phone from the bathroom and took point walking out of the bedroom and down the hallway with the bat in her hand and resting on her shoulder. Fortunately this proved to be unnecessary because nothing happened on their way back down to the first floor so Yonezawa set aside her bat and let it rest against the kitchen island while she retrieved a fruit salad from the refrigerator and filling up a bowl for both of them. "Alright, snacks are served, what do you want to drink?" "Oh! Do you have a W.W.3?" "One Whimsical Watermelon Wave coming right up!" She replied and returned to the fridge and retrieved a watermelon drink for Tahara and a Tropical Twirl for herself. After closing the refrigerator, Yonezawa sat down next to Tahara and they clinked their drinks and began enjoying their meals.
