Vampires Exist & Don't Buy Into The BS Hollywood Films Showcased About Them *From the words of Carmella Quan Sun*
"To anyone who has been blissfully unaware, vampires are real. And they walk among you. It wasn't till some time in the 80s when Darius made himself known to the human public. Sure there were your share of skeptics and there were those cautious to the reveal but, thanks to the respective guilds manipulation of media it wasn't long till the humans managed to embrace us.
And now the vampire society has become a public knowledge. Despite this you still have some dangerous vampires out there and there are five things you must be aware of so that you won't be used as a late night snack.
1. Not All Vampires Burn In The Sun: There are many different kinds of vampires and for some sunlight has a different effect on them. Some burn in the sun while it mostly just weakens them and leaves them vulnerable for an attack.
2. Vampires Aren't Tragic Romantics: That's just BS vampires would spew to bring mortals to a false sense of security. We don't constantly whine about our vampirism or try to kill ourselves to be rid of it. Because our roommate inside our head wouldn't let us if we wanted to. Speaking of

Chapter IThe Dreaded
A young woman was walking through an empty alley in the dark when a Vampire jumped out at her. She screamed.
Carmella heard her scream from her vantage point atop a high-rise building.
The girl backed in fear. "Please, you don't have to do this. I can get you money." The vamp grabs her and smiled as he looked at her with full predatory glee. "Its not your money I'm interested in." He bared his sharp canines before her.
"Somebody help! Aah! Aah!"
Just as he was about to go in for the kill his scent picked up another presence near by. He spun around to see The Draculina herself emerge from the darkness of the alley. Carmella smirked as she casually advanced towards the other vampire, who now has become the prey.
"Hate to break it to you but the lady isn't interested. Maybe you're coming off as too needy"
The vampire immediately lets go and falls on his knees. "O-OH FUCK IT'S YOU!!!" The vampire shouted "F-Forgive me, please! I had no idea I was feeding on your clan's turf. Just don't give me the Final Death!"
"....What" Carmella stares at the vampire with a blank expression.

If you'd ask Carmella when she was a little girl if she'd ever find herself joining The Red Dragon Coven she'd look at you like you're crazy. If you'd ask her when she was a teenager that she'd grow up to becoming The Dreaded among the vampire community she'd be intrigued yet puzzled as to how she managed that.
Well true believers, in this story, how Carmella came to be in this situation is a rather interesting story in itself. And it all started during a meeting between the Vampire Elders. Representative of the various houses. A tradition that The Elders usually partook in every hundred years. As of recently, Carmella participates in the meeting as the youngest Knight to have ever been crowned by the vampire coven.
Carmella herself doesn't care for meetings. But it's a means to an end. She has fought and climbed her way up to the coven's ranks and she's not going to squander this opportunity. Not by a long shot. What she doesn't realize is that this kind of meeting will play a huge impact on how, not just her fellow coven, but the rest of the vampire community views her going forward.
And that is going to be quite a story to tell.
Author's Note: This story is a revised story of the original Legacy of The Dragon. This one focuses on Carmella's first year as Knight of The Coven. Timeline wise this takes place a couple of years prior to the first volume of Shepard Mysteries.

Great way to bring back Carmella in her own amazing storyline that explores the origins of the Vampire Princess as she rises up through the ranks of The Coven and then the ranks of the Vampire Community as a whole to become a Queen in her own right! This is going to be awesome!
