LOCATION: An Unknown Military Location!
A trio of Government Agents walked down the hallway. Two of them worked for The Global Defense Agency and the third of whom worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. While not necessarily on a mission they were all together for an important meeting regarding yet another potential apocalypse.
"Once we clarified Isaac Mendez's Precognitive Capabilities we got him cleaned up, hired him on and gave him a secure studio with any and all materials he needed and just let the man work. Every little bit of intel helps when you need to stay ahead of the constant disasters, right? The 9th Wonders Comics are distributed to Hero Teams to keep them up to date as well. Of course we kept our eyes on the studio in case he discovered something really big." Donald Ferguson explained as they neared the studio door.
"Which brings us to our current situation. He's painted big events before of course but this is considerably larger than normal. Definitely a Code Red."
"He's sleeping in his room right now, had to slip him some Pixie Dust to knock him out, while we went over it. That's why we brought you down here, Nick. To get a second opinion." Cecil informed him.
"How big of an Apocalypse are we talking here? Avengers Level or All Hands On Deck?" Nick Fury questioned.
"Definitely an All Hands On Deck Situation." Cecil told him as Donald swiped his keycard, pressed in the code and scanned his eyes and thumbprint. The door opened and they walked into the studio. Isaac Mendez's studio was filled with paintings of multiple problematic situations and near disasters/apocalypses that they foiled including a few invasions. But what really caught Fury's eye was what was painted all over the floor. All of the other paintings had been moved off to the side to make room for Isaac to paint this next disaster on the floor to emphasize the scale of the coming apocalypse.
A massive blue laser fired out of Carnegie Hall into the sky complete with what could only be described as pieces of the Moon raining down on the city of New York and pulverizing the rest of the city, and likely the rest of the world, incinerating everything in a massive blazing inferno. The grisly scene was complete with the fallen heroes laying around the city. Fury also took notice of something else happening in the background of the city while all this was happening and another mural beneath all of that of the Earth itself cracking in half.
"So tell me, Nick, what's your opinion on all of this?"

ELSEWHERE! Vanya Hargreeves hummed a beautiful melody to herself as she walked towards Clover Crystalflower's Fluffy Cup Cafe to pick up a drink for Klaus to help clear u p the major hangover he was going to be facing whenever he woke up after that little party he had last night. By her calculations she had another hour or two before he woke up and his hangover hit him like a speeding truck. Sure Klaus was apparently immortal and would just resurrect even if it did kill him but it was more about the principal of the matter and looking out for her mess of a brother. Reggie's training screwed up all of them in more ways than one but she, Viktor, Christopher and Klaus got the worst of it so she did what she could to look after them. Admittedly, Vanya didn't know if Clover was even The Fae's Real Name and she didn't press the issue. Lord knows Vanya had enough going on in her life without needlessly incurring the wrath of a Fae. She waited in line while still humming to herself. In order to pass the time she took a notepad out of her jacket and a pen out of her pocket and she began writing down her music. She had some practice planned with Viktor and Emma of course but didn't mean she couldn't write down whatever ideas came down to her brain.  She danced a little while she wrote down her notes while the line gradually moved inside. Vanya did briefly look up as she noticed the Fae roasting a rude customer and held in her laughter. Honestly, Clover would fit right in at The Academy. She patiently waited until it was finally her turn to order. "Hi Clover. How's it going?" "Another day at work. What can I do you for, Vanya?" She held up a 10. "The Hangover Special please." "Let me guess: Klaus again?" "Klaus." Vanya replied with a smirk. |

Pretty heart warming and having Vanya and Viktor be siblings. Plus her taking care of Klaus like that.

Pretty heart warming and having Vanya and Viktor be siblings. Plus her taking care of Klaus like that. Yeah, I figured that was the easiest way to include both versions of Vanya/Viktor into the story and it made sense to me for Vanya to be the one who primarily looks after him.  |

"Believe me the offer is tempting but I don't feel like lowering myself to his level. After the things we've been through? As far as I'm concerned, we've already risen above him." Vanya summarized. "I'll you what though: I will keep that offer in my back pocket in case of emergency and I'll trade you front row tickets to our upcoming concert. Fair trade?" "More than fair." Izzy replied with a laugh as she accepted her money. "Would you like your change?" "Thank you but keep it." Vanya replied with a giggle as the Tip Jar appeared in Izzy's hand. She promptly dropped the change into it. "Give Klaus our best regards Vanya!" She told her before she looked around not seeing her ride anywhere. "...Are you flying back?" "Nah. I've got Fast Travel." Vanya joked and took out her phone and sent a text to Five. "Thank you though Izzy! You guys are the best!" She waved goodbye to Izzy and levitated herself back to the front of the Cafe and sat down on a bench to wait until Five teleported in front of her.  "Remiss as I am to play the role of an Uber, this system you've created is infinitely preferrable to dealing with a Hungover Klaus all Morning so I'll let it pass. Shall we return home?" Vanya stood up and took his hand. "Lets...wait, hold on, is that blood on you? What happened? What did you do?" "Don't worry about it. I was just wrapping up some unfinished business. It's handled." He leaned to the side and waved to the Cafe Employees and Customers and teleported back to the Academy with Vanya. |
