Amidst the shimmering lights of Hinansho, Hiro stood atop the Nakatomi Hotel, her eyes scanning the city below. Her AI companion, ARIA (A Really Intelligent Android), communicated with her through their mental link.
"Hiro, I've been pondering on this, and since I'm taking up this superhero gig full-time, I think I need a catchphrase that truly represents who I am and my motivation," Hiro confided.
Aria's voice, surprisingly sweet and bubbly for a robotic lifeform, replied, "Catchphrases might seem clichéd"
"That's the beauty of it! What better way to bring it back than by making this one sound cool? And this will only be used when the situation calls for it"
"Well, I've known you long enough(around eight months) to know that getting you to make up your mind would be futile. So I-" Aria was disrupted when she noticed Hiro holding back laughter: "What's so funny?"
"Oh, nothing. Say, Aria, could you do me a favor?" Hiro inquired.
Aria knew exactly where this was going. "What is it?" she asked, bracing herself.
"Say 'Resistance Is Futile'," Hiro requested.
"Uh-huh. That trick didn't work when Worf tried it on Data and it's not going to work with me" Aria let out a raspberry sound effect, refusing to fall into the trope.
"Someday, Aria, someday," Hiro replied with a chuckle.
Their light-hearted exchange was interrupted when Aria picked up an alert about a hostile threat at the Shinron Museum of Technology, a few miles west of their location.
Hiro nods, after months of training and developing her powers, it is time to put them to good use. "Game On" she commanded the get thrusters behind her back to activate and she took off. Hinansho is about to have its own superhero in the house. From this day forward, nothing will be the same again.
