tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Laconic/SuperSoldier-It's right in the title! While Annabelle is inspired by Captain America, there are notable differences. 1: While Steve received the Serum from a scientist allied with America, the man who empowered Annabelle is thus far unrelated to anyone on top of empowering her in the late 1800's, a full century before Steve Rodgers received the Super Soldier Serum. 2: Annabelle was a veteran of WW1 well before WW2 began while Steve made his name in WW2. 3: Steve does age but it's slower than a normal human while Annabelle's aging apparently stopped shortly after she was empowered and she has stayed at the same age ever since even into the 1940's. 4: Steve was upgraded to Peak Human/Low Level Superhuman Levels (Especially in the Movies and Ultimate Marvel!) while Annabelle is far more powerful, being more in line with the The Boys TV Show's version of Soldier Boy. Possessing full on superhuman levels of strength, (enough to tear through normal humans like wet tissue paper, make superhuman leaps, take out vehicles and more) durability (Bullets, flames, blades, explosions, etc. barely slow her down) reflexes + speed (Human soldiers flat out can't keep up with her and she can dodge gunfire and rockets when she puts in the effort) healing (Even after being surrounded by a cloud of souped up poison gas on top of having a massive amount of bombs and grenades dropped on her location, she was able to survive and heal from the pain and damage she took with enough time, eventually beating out the poison in her system and recovering.) energy absorption (While Annabelle DOES feel the pain of everything that hits her, she can also take IN that energy and store it for an extended period of time before she eventually releases all of it at once in a massive, MASSIVE explosion capable of obliterating entire towns or potentially even further depending on how much she's absorbed!) a berserker state (A DRAWBACK from her energy release is that she briefly blacks out and her mind gets a bit fried causing her to turn into a blind raging berserker for a while until she collapses and sleeps it off. AFTERWORD she will need to find food and drink to recover and cool off.) all making Annabelle into her own category of monster. 5: Steve is smart and pragmatic of course but generally prefers to utilize his shield in a fight while Annabelle will generally just use whatever's around her and she has no qualms about just taking guns or weapons from enemy soldiers around her and just killing them with that. NEXT! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AmazonianBeauty-Annabelle is built like a brickhouse and quite attractive. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Laconic/TerrorHero-While they'll still fight her, the Germans are repeatedly shown to be utterly terrified of Annabelle. Her tendency to shrug off everything thrown at her after having already done so during WW1 plays a large part in this as does her flair for the dramatic. She flat out poses in and walks through fire just to terrify the German soldiers just as an example! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Laconic/MayflyDecemberRomance-Annabelle's husband obviously did not have the same regenerative and extended lifespan abilities as her, due to not receiving whatever treatment she did, and thus he gradually aged into an old man until their relationship fell apart and he eventually passed away. Despite this, Annabelle apparently still holds a torch for him in her heart. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Laconic/OutlivingOnesOffspring-On top of the above, Annabelle's children didn't have the same powers she does either, meaning that if they are still around, they're aging normally, meaning she either has or eventually will outlive them. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Laconic/MayflyDecemberFriendship-On top of the above two notes? Annabelle has mentioned that she's outlived several of her old friends. So that's husband, children AND friends she's made that she's outlived. She is not happy about it. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Laconic/BeautyIsNeverTarnished-Zig-Zagged! While her wounds heal pretty quickly, Annabelle, at this point, is covered in blood, gore, viscera, potenitally some vomit, burn smarks, scorch marks, dirt, soot, grime, rubble, dust, etc and is basically looking like an utter mess despite still going strong.
