Ashley took a deep breath before entering the Vought Industries building. She knew that this meeting could either make or break her career, but she had to take the risk. She was the only one who could make this happen, and she was determined to do so. As she walked through the grand entrance of the building, Ashley couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe. The place was massive, with gleaming floors and towering ceilings. She was greeted by a Vought executive, who ushered her into a conference room. Ashley sat nervously, waiting for her meeting with Homelander. She had prepared for this moment for weeks, and she knew that she had to make a good impression. As she waited, Ashley couldn’t help but think about how Homelander was going to react to the latest recruit of The Seven, Nightwing. She had heard that Homelander was skeptical about Nightwing’s abilities, despite his reputation as a skilled and accomplished superhero. Ashley had seen Nightwing in action before, and she knew that he was more than capable of being a member of The Seven. Suddenly, the door opened, and Homelander walked in. Ashley couldn’t help but feel a sense of fear and apprehension. She knew that Homelander was not an easy person to impress, especially when it came to new recruits. But in her gut this one is different. Ashley isn't stupid. She did her homework. The person she had isn't some newbie, he has experience in the superhero field and then some. Plus he already has a fan following. Plus, given his racial background, it would earn Vought some major points within the Asian community. “Hello, Ashley,” Homelander said, his voice cool and collected. “I hear that you have someone you want me to meet.” Ashley took a deep breath and stood up. “Yes, sir. I would like to introduce you to Nightwing, the latest recruit of The Seven.” Homelander raised an eyebrow. “Nightwing? I’ve heard of him. He’s quite the hero, isn’t he?” Ashley nodded eagerly. “Yes, sir. He’s one of the best. He’s saved countless lives and has been a huge asset to the superhero community.” Homelander looked at Ashley for a moment, then turned his attention to Nightwing, who was standing in the corner of the room. “Nightwing,” Homelander said, his tone laced with skepticism. “I’ve heard a lot about you. Let’s see what you’re made of.” Nightwing stepped forward, a confident look on his face. “I’m more than happy to show you what I can do, Homelander.” Homelander smiled, a dangerous glint in his eye. “We’ll see about that.” Homelander gestured towards one of the Vought Industries’ training rooms, a dimly lit area with large machines and obstacles scattered around. “Let’s take this to the next level,” he said, a smirk on his face. “We’ll run a simulation that will test your skills and ability to handle difficult situations.” Nightwing nodded, his confidence never waning. “I’m ready for anything,” he said. As they stepped into the simulation room, Ashley noticed the tension in the air. It was palpable, and she could feel the pressure mounting. The simulation began, and it was intense. The room was filled with smoke and debris, and enemies were coming at them from all directions. Nightwing sprang into action, his movements fluid and graceful. He took out one enemy after another, never faltering or losing his composure. Homelander watched with interest, his eyes tracking Nightwing’s every move. As the simulation went on, the enemies became more challenging, their attacks more brutal. Nightwing fought on, never giving up, even when it seemed like he was about to be overwhelmed. Homelander watched in silence, his expression unreadable. Finally, after what seemed like hours, the simulation came to an end. Nightwing stood tall, his body covered in sweat and bruises, but his eyes still bright with determination. “Well done,” Homelander said, his tone begrudgingly impressed. “You have what it takes to be a member of The Seven.” Ashley felt a sense of relief wash over her. She had done it. She had introduced Nightwing to Homelander and proved that he was more than capable of being a member of The Seven. Nightwing and Homelander left the simulation room, and Ashley followed closely behind. As they walked through the halls of Vought Industries, Ashley could feel the weight of the world lifted off her shoulders. She had accomplished what she had set out to do, and she had done it well. “Welcome to The Seven, Nightwing,” Homelander said, his tone serious but approving, offering his hand. Nightwing smiled, his eyes filled with gratitude. “Thank you, Homelander. I won’t let you down.” he reached out and accepted Homelander's hand. "Once I've given you the tour of the facility I'll introduce you to Starlight. The two of you will be working together for a while." Homelander said

She gets to work alongside another pure hearted hero like Starlight and he was trained by one of the best heroes in the business! Nightwing is definitely going to bring a refreshing feeling of true blue heroism to The Seven! He's one of the greatest leaders of the DCU for a reason after all and Nightwing is already making waves in how he's introducing himself as an amazingly skilled superhero without needing V or Super Powers! I can't wait to see his fun interactions with Starlight!

"Once I've given you the tour of the facility I'll introduce you to Starlight. The two of you will be working together for a while." Homelander said "Sounds great. Thank you sir." "Oh please, save that for Stan. Just call me Homelander." He joked and lead Nightwing through the halls of Vought HQ. They'd observed the place before through the security cameras, because Bruce wouldn't send him in here without knowing what he was getting into, but it was nice to walk through it in person and see the sights. He saw Superheroes meeting with Corporate Suits, the Suits making phone calls to the Superheroes and others, lots of computer cubicle work, he saw various floors, the R&D of the company, the Crime Monitors, some fancy rooms, and then he brought Nightwing up to The Seven's Meeting Room where Starlight was in the middle of a chat with Queen Maeve. As expected, Queen Maeve looked like a warrior from ancient times and Starlight looked full on angelic. Starlight looked up from her conversation with Maeve and smiled politely. "Oh man. You're really him, aren't you? Nightwing. The Original Robin, right?" She hopped off of the table and strolled over to Nightwing and offered her hand. "I'm Starlight. Welcome To The Seven." "The OG himself and the best Robin in the flock." Nightwing joked. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Starlight, I heard about you clearing out the 100 Acre Woods. That took some guts." "Oh yeah. Those weird, crazy, animal monster psycho freaks. You heard about that, huh? Well, you know how it is. All in a day's work for a Superhero." "Sorry if I brought up any bad memories." "Nah, it's cool. It was just a weird day is all. I drove out there to investigate the rumors about it initially. I just didn't expect to find a group of monsters. But they were there and they were out of control so I had to deal with them. The government spooks have been keeping them under lock and key ever since." Queen Maeve meanwhile glanced over to Homelander. "So what do you think of the new guy?" "It's honestly a little hard to believe that he doesn't have Superpowers with the way he moves." Homelander joked. "But then, people have said the same thing about The Bat and several other heroes I'm sure. But he's pretty and photogenic and the public loves him. So long as he pulls his weight on the team then we can keep him around. Honestly, Maeve? I think he'd compliment Noire very well. I'm looking forward to seeing what the little acrobat can really do when out in the field."

I'm looking forward to seeing what the little acrobat can really do when out in the field." "Oh trust me. I get it. Gothamites are used to dealing with weird animal men. Killer Croc and Man-Bat might be the most famous but we've seen other animals. Even Killer Moth got himself turned into a giant moth monster last time we fought him." "Man-Bat...that's Kirk Langstrom, right? The guy who was experimenting with Vampire Bats?" "Yeah. If you're wondering why he chose Vampire Bats in particular...we still aren't sure. Kirk was a bit too eccentric for his own good but we're still trying to help him." "I'm sure you'll be able to bring him back." Annie assured Nightwing. "How's Gotham been as a whole though? Now that Joker's, well, you know..." "Got axed? Honestly, surprisingly quiet. I mean, Gotham's never completely quiet, but it's calmer than we expected." (Harley's barhopping party aside. That was its own brand of chaos.) Homelander stepped up. "How did he die anyway? We saw the news but I'd like to get the answer from someone who was in the know." Nightwing rubbed the back of his head. "As far as we can tell? .50 Caliber Sniper Rifle Exploding Round to the dome, two in the chest, followed by a C4 Explosion to bring the building down on him." (Jason was not playing games that night...) (Well damn. Was this Red Hood or Butcher's work?) Homelander pondered. He managed to keep a straight face despite how much he wanted to burst out laughing over the news. "I see. Sounds like karma finally caught up with him. At least his victims can finally rest in peace knowing that his murders have come to an end. I'm glad you're here with us, Dick, it'll be nice to have such a resilient and pure hearted superhero joining The Seven."

TheDeep meanwhile was relaxing in the pool room he had next to his bedroom with Adrina by his side. Because sometimes you just have to kick back, relax and chill out in a swimming pool with your Mermaid Girlfriend. The two of them just floated there underwater down below the water on the bottom of the pool while the soft blue lights of the pool room shined down on the surface. TheDeep was so relaxed that he was laying on his back with his head resting on his hands with his eyes closed. "Kevin, honey? Is everything alright?" Adrina asked him as she relaxed on top of TheDeep and wrapped him up in her tail. TheDeep opened his eyes back up and stroked her beautiful hair with one hand. "Everything's fine Adrina. I'm just enjoying the moment. It feels really good, you know? To take a load off and just chill down here for a while in the peace and quiet underwater. Alone with you."
