The City of Terrenside was gripped by chaos from the Earth roaring beneath violently shaking beneath their feet. The violent earthquake rocking the city had everyone screaming and hiding and begging for salvation with the ground undulating, chasms beginning to tear open in the Earth and everything falling apart as if held together by cheap glue.
As the city threatened to fall apart around them a silver streak of light zipped across the city, flew down into the cracks and quickly burrowed down into the Earth until he reached 175 kilometers beneath the surface, down into the Earth's boiling hot magma, 2,372° Fahrenheit, and he ran right through it like it wasn't even there to grab onto a tectonic plate, took a breath and lifted the absolutely massive tectonic plate from its current position and then he lifted it up further.
It was massive, absolutely colossal, incredibly heavy and he had to be extremely careful about how he handled this or he could cause even further damage. The insanely heavy tectonic plate with the weight of a country in his hands began to slide as he carefully moved it.
He had to factor in the the continental crust, the upper mantle, and the overall weight of the continental plate as he held it up above his head. By a rough estimate this came out around Seventeen Sextillion Seventy-six Quintillion Forty Quadrillion Eight Hundred Trillion Kilograms but it was nothing he couldn't handle. He just had to be careful as he moved it into position.
He narrowed his eyes, dug in his feet and slid and shifted it aside just enough to stop the quake and restore peace and order to Terrenside. After making sure everything was in order the man flew back to the surface and up into the fresh air. He took only a brief breath before he looked down at Terrenside and began analyzing everything to find out who needed help. He floated there high in the sky with the sunlight shining off of his sleek, silver futuristic looking alien biosuit.
While he didn't have a cape to flap in the wind, and his helmet covered his face to hide his expression from people, the shining shimmering costume was enough to let everyone know that The Paladin, Earth's Defender and Symbol Of Hope, had arrived on the scene and it was all going to be okay now.
"It's all citizens! It's all going to be okay now! You're safe! Because I AM HERE!" He called out to them. His voice filtered through the mask giving it a metallic, buzzing, almost robotic tone. He gave the people a thumbs up and then briefly flew over down into an outdoor pool and floated down to the bottom. While the heat didn't bother him at all the fact remained that he was still super hot from the residual heat from his lava dip and thus the heat he'd be radiating would roast anybody he tried to rescue. So he had to go down into the pool water just long enough to cool down first. The result of his dip caused the pool's water to boil and steam around him but he stayed standing inside of it and placed his hands together and focused as a blue light gradually surrounded his body as he slowed down the movement of atoms around to such a point that it caused a significant drop in temperature around him thus allowing him to not only cool down the pool and thus his suit to rapidly cool him back down so that he could proceed with the rescue. Once the pool cooled back down and returned to normal, if not cooler than it had been before, he flew back out and began zipping around the city to find everyone who was trapped and/or injured by the quake and get them to a hospital and clear away the rubble so Emergency Services could get to work.

Once the pool cooled back down and returned to normal, if not cooler than it had been before, he flew back out and began zipping around the city to find everyone who was trapped and/or injured by the quake and get them to a hospital and clear away the rubble so Emergency Services could get to work. Thanks to a combination of Super Vision and Telepathy he was able to locate every civilian in the city and he made rescuing the people who were most injured his first priority. His telepathy stemmed from a small, electric organ in his brain, which allowed for electroreception. He utilized this to detect the electrical impulses in another's brain which he interpreted as understandable words and images. He moved through the city fast enough that time was stopped cold in comparison to him. Even remaining falling rubble was left floating in mid-air frozen while he moved through the city by enlarging his suprachiasmatic nuclei, increasing his circadian rhythm exponentially, and therefore allowing him to operate at a higher speed. He gently pushed rubble out of his way while he moved through the city, found trapped civilians, gently picked them up and sped them to the hospital before going back to find more people. Even if anybody could see the Superhero's Yutroyntine BioSuit in motion at best they'd see a Silver Streak Of Light zipping back and forth and around the city and to various hospitals. Men, Women, Children, Pets all around the city, inside of buildings or vehicles or just injured on the ground, were rescued and placed in hospitals which he cleaned up. With all of the injured and trapped citizens in Terrenside rescued he got to work on grabbing and clearing away the rubble and broken down vehicles. All of the damage in the city was being swept up by Paladin and moved to empty construction sites or a scrapyard to get all of it out of the way. Once all of that was cleared away he distributed traffic cones around the most damaged streets so that anybody driving through the city, such as rescue workers, would know that the most dangerous areas and strive to avoid them. It had been barley a minute since he left the underground and cooled off in the pool and a city that had just been devastated by a massive Earthquake had been saved and cleaned up with every injured person affected by the effects of the Earthquake rescued and taken to hospitals and medical centers around the city. He flew into the skies above Terrenside and he gave the city another look through with his super vision while reaching out with his mind to locate anybody he'd missed.
