"And when it does we'll be ready for everything and anything. Because Space Patrol Delta is always ready for anything!" Celethe responded eagerly. "You've got a good spirit, kid, make sure you never lose that." "Not a chance...I'm not a kid though! I'm a certified Specialized Sin-Prevention Space Police Specialist like everyone else here!" "And you've more than earned your Ω Rank, Celethe! You've made us proud time and again out there in the field." Vela complimented. "Not bad for Ҟһҹҵұҿ, huh?" Requiem joked. "Hey now, I've worked alongside plenty of Solids even back during my Rescue Days and they always pulled through with everyone else. In fact, the ones in my Division, The Malleus Silver Lions, put in 110% every single time to make up for the fact that they lacked the shapeshifting abilities of us Mercurians. I hope we run into them on an assignment someday because I know you guys will get along great with those old knuckleheads." "I certainly hope so. Getting the chance to work with the famous Malleus Silver Lion Rescue Rangers would be a huge honor." Celethe replied. "Yeah. It would certainly be good to see them again. At any rate I'm gonna grab a shower and then hit the sparring room. Let me know if either of you wants to throw down later." "Dibs!" Celethe replied quickly. "Sold to the Ω! I'll see you then." They high-fived and she walked away humming the tune to Dreams Of His Edge. Requiem and Celethe smiled and turned around and continued walking to the office, reached it and walked inside. The Kranirian Secretary Blo'ala looked up from her work as Requiem and Celethe walked up to her and saluted and Blo'ala saluted back. "Hello Chief Secretary Nungagen." Requiem greeted her. "I'm just here to see The Chief to see if there are any upcoming assignments. How's your day going by the way?" "<Ahhh yes, Officer Requiem, Officer Celethe, welcome. Yes, please, step inside. The Chief is waiting for you.">
She greeted them. Being a Kranirian, Blo'ala Nungagen's language sounds like a mixture of wind chimes, chittering, chirps and audible binary code in a thoughtful, emotional, codified language. They lack faces in the conventional sense so instead their eyes flash red when they're speaking. They 'feed' by reaching out with their brain-tails, long fleshy appendages that protrude from their heads, or alternatively tendrils from their fingers, into liquids and absorbing them. "Great. Thanks a lot." She responded and waved as they walked up to the door to speak with Chief Aëtos Freebird. The Universe was a very big place and things could change for them in an instant after all... They entered Chief Freebird's Office, a well decorated yet distinctly military feeling room, and The Chief looked up from his notes. "Ahh, Requiem, what may I help you with?" She snapped a salute. "Sir! I have completed my rest cycle and I am ready to resume active duty! Is there any crime that needs stopping?" He chuckled. "Just woke back up and already itching to get back into combat, eh? Your sense of justice is inspiring. Unfortunately, no, our forces have everything handled at the moment so feel free to take a load off and make your rounds and get some training in. If there are any alerts or distress calls you and everyone else will be notified." "Sir! Yes Sir!" "Also, you could've just called." "Sorry Sir. An Old Earth Habit." "Quite alright. How about you, Celethe?" "I just wanted to accompany her, Sir." She admitted. "I'm not surprised. I've seen the videos of the two of you in action together. You make a highly efficient team and you've made Space Patrol Delta proud time and again. Continue to demonstrate your skills and talents together for the sake of spreading truth and justice throughout the universe!" " SIR! YES SIR!" They replied simultaneously. "Good. Dismissed." They bowed their heads and exited the office. - "That went as expected." Celethe confessed while they walked down the hallway. Well, Requiem was walking normally, Celethe was moonwalking backwards with her hands behind her head. "Yeah, but I wanted to double check if there was any work to be done. I start getting antsy if peace lasts too long." Requiem joked. "It's true that we might have to find alternative means of work if we ever achieved intergalactic peace but that's the reason we fight: To one day day, hopefully, end the neverending battle so the people of the Universe can finally live in peace and happiness. I'm sure those Rookies down on Earth are feeling the same way." She responded with a heart melting smile on her face. "Say, that reminds me, isn't SPD's Earth-Branch training their own Super Rookies right now?" "Hmmmm." Requiem checked the date on her Morpher. "Sounds about right." "Any hopefuls in the squads?" "There are three in particular I've had my eye on: A little elf named Skye Evergreen, a hotshot flyboy named Seraph Darwin Costantini and a young Deadshot named Roza Gunhild." "Gunhild? As in 'Demon Eye' Drusilla Gunhild? They related?" "She's her little sister." "Well now. If she's on the same level as the rest of her family she'll be a shoe-in for Ranger Status. Who's training them?" "Hmmm...let me check..." A Holo-Screen popped up and she began cycling through it before laughing. "Oh man. You've gotta see this. These kids hit the jackpot." Celete did a pirouette and turned around to look at the screen. Her eyes widening in realization. "Ohhhh thogicid. They got Greyhawk?" "Good 'Ol Dominar Greyhawk." Requiem responded fondly. "She's the best mentor those kids could ask for." "So long as they stay on her good side..." "Or the closest she has to one." "So long as they stay professional." Celethe corrected herself. "Otherwise she's gonna beat the thogicid out of them. Speaking from experience." Requiem turned off her holo-screen and patted her on the back. "There's a reason that even The A-Squad will go back to her to improve their skills. She's tough but she's fair and she's as strong as Iron." "Think they'll make it through?" "I think they'll be fine. Greyhawk never goes too far with her training methods. Earth Branch is going to get some serious badasses out of her training." "Yeah...yeah, you're right. I'm sure they'll be fine." Celethe replied and walked into the elevator with her and began reciting tongue twisters while she loosened up. "Purple paper people, purple paper people, purple paper people. Purple paper people, purple paper people, purple paper people. Gobbling gorgoyles gobbled gobbling goblins. Bbbbbblah...." "You good?" "Yeah, it just helps me relax." "You ready to go spar?" "Oh Space-Hell yeah." The Officers continued to make their way through Delta Station until they arrived at the gym where their fellow officers were training and exercising together to pass the time. The Training Center was massive. A wide open room with fields, courts, boxing rings and top of the line fitness equipment to help them all stay in shape and improve themselves. The Fitness Center was packed with the officers either exercising or relaxing in the stands and shooting the breeze. Vela Hetjuhöggr for her part was waiting for them in the middle of one of the fields. "Yo, Vela!" Celethe called to her as they walked over. "Yo yourselves, Solids, how'd the meeting go?" "Good as usual. Nothing's going on in the universe at the moment so we came here. Anyway, you ready for a match?" Celethe asked. "Me knocking you on your butt? Born ready." "Go on. Knock 'er flat, Ω." Requiem assured Celethe. "Ohhh I'm gonna have some fun today." She responded and jogged out onto the field and squared up with Vela while Requiem took a few steps back to watch their match. They approached each other until they stood in the middle of the field, bowed to each other, and then they stood back up and got ready to fight. Celethe attacked first and the match was on! They attacked each other like lightning. Their bodies moving with a grace that belied their profession as members of Space Patrol Delta's Special Investigator Division for Violent Crime Countermeasures. Celethe Lansford, a tall, slender woman with eyes that sparkled like the stars, and Vela Hetjuhöggr, a towering, tall redheaded woman with eyes as silver as a spaceship and muscles rippling beneath her tight-fitting uniform, were engaged in a friendly sparring match. Their movements were a dance of deadly precision, each strike and block loaded with years of training and experience. They circled each other warily, testing their opponent's defenses and looking for an opening. The tension in the air was palpable as the two women fought, their minds as sharp as their bodies. Suddenly, Celethe lunged forward, her hand snapping out in a blur of motion. Vela barely managed to block the strike, staggering back under the force of it. She countered with a powerful kick that sent Celethe spinning across the field, but the latter recovered quickly, landing lightly on her feet and launching herself back into the fight. The battle raged on, each woman pushing the other to their limits. It was a true testament to their friendship that they were willing to put themselves in harm's way like this, trusting each other to push them to be better and stronger. Their bodies twisted and turned, each trying to gain the upper hand over the other. Celethe's short bobcut brown hair whipped around her face as she ducked under Vela's powerful strikes, her blue-green eyes never leaving her opponent's. Vela grunted with effort as she pushed herself to match Celethe's speed and agility, she had to give her credit, she was quick, but not so quick that Vela couldn't keep up in their match. Martial Arts were about more than speed after all. Their feet pounded against the field, creating a rhythmic thudding sound that echoed throughout the gym. Celethe's style was fluid and graceful, while Vela's was more direct and powerful. They had studied different disciplines, but their skills were equally matched in this friendly competition. As the match progressed, the two officers began to incorporate more advanced techniques into their sparring. Celethe's legs wrapped around Vela's waist, and she flipped her opponent over her shoulder, landing her in a controlled fall on the mat. Vela quickly recovered, springing back to her feet with a grin. "Nice move, partner," she said, her voice filled with admiration. Celethe smiled back, her eyes still focused on her friend and sparring partner. "Thanks, but we're not done yet." She lunged forward, her fist flying toward Vela's face. Vela blocked the punch with her forearm, but the impact sent a shockwave up her arm. The two continued to trade blows, their bodies moving in a beautiful, violent dance that showcased their skills and the deep bond of friendship between them. Their movements became even faster, more precise. Every strike and block was calculated, every motion meant to test the other's mettle. They sped up even further, at times even flickering in and out of sight from sheer speed, and each hit caused an air burst from sheer power whether it landed or was block. Sweat dripped down their faces, Mercury in Vela's case, mingling with the dust from the field. Their breathing grew heavier, but neither one slowed down. They were pushing themselves to the limits, testing their abilities to react and adapt in the heat of battle. Celethe's movements were a blur of grace and power and Vela's brutal and efficient. Celethe struck at Vela, her fist flying towards her chest in a blur of speed and power but Vela dodged it and struck at her face. She barely had time to react before Vela's fist connected, sending her flying across the field until she used a Chi burst from her right hand to push her back to the floor. She smiled and rubbed her jaw as she got back up on her feet. Her eyes were flashing with determination to show she was still in this. The two fighters clashed again and again. Their movements were a blur of speed and power. The gym echoed with the sound of their blows. The air thick with the smell of sweat and mercury and adrenaline. As the match wore on, it became clear that this was no ordinary sparring match. These two fighters were evenly matched, their skills honed to a razor's edge. The crowd watched in silent respect as they battled on, their movements a testament to the power and beauty of the martial arts. Vela lunged forward again, her fist flying towards Celethe's face again but she saw it coming and began to bob and duck and weave to avoid Vela's incoming attacks before countering with a swift kick to her chest but she dodged out of the way. The two fighters clashed again and again, their movements a blur of motion and power. As they circled each other, the intensity of their gaze never wavered. They knew that this was more than just a friendly sparring match; it was a test of their partnership, of their loyalty to one another and to their duty as Space Police officers. And they both knew that they would stop at nothing to protect their friends, their comrades, and the galaxy they swore to serve. Finally, after what felt like an eternity of non-stop fighting, Celethe and Vela stood panting, their faces flushed from battle. Both women were breathing heavily, their bodies aching from the exertion. They stood facing each other, panting heavily, but there was a look of respect in their eyes. This was more than just a friendly sparring match; it was a testament to their bond, to their dedication to their craft, and to their unwavering commitment to keeping the peace in the galaxy. They went at it once more. Both of them pulling out all the stops with smiles on their faces showing that both of them were just plain having fun in this match. Exchanging punches and kicks and grappling with one another and even reversing their movements and countering one another expertly. After a final exchange though Celethe landed a quick chain punch that made her back off and that was when Celethe moved in on Vela, landed a quick combination of strikes on her, and finished it by spinning around rapidly and then leaping into the air to land multiple midair roundhouse kicks with alternating legs. This final combination did the trick and Vela spun around in the air and landed hard on her back on the field. Celethe landed on her feet but then she crouched down on one knee. Both of them were panting from exertion but it was Vela who raised her hand and then brought it down on the mat and tapped out. Their fellow officers cheered and shouted their names as Celethe took a minute to recover while the augmentations in her body replenished her stamina and her body began healing up. Once her body recovered she got back up and offered her hand to Vela who was sitting back up herself and shifting her body in and out of her Mercury Form to fix her solid form. Once she finished patching herself up she accepted Celethe's hand. "That was fun. Nice match, Celly." "Back at you Vela." She helped her back up and the two bowed to each other and walked away to the stands while a swarm of miniature cleaning bots swarmed the field to clean it right back up. Once it was done it would be open for everyone else again.

"Yeah, oh yeah, you know I'm SPD's Little Weapon!" Cecily bragged as she high-fived her and she did a little twirl and she jumped on the bleachers. "Keep on bragging! I'm going to get you back next time." Vela warned her in a joking manner as she sat down in the bleachers and held up a silver can and she placed her thumb on the lid and it scanned her to be sure that she was a Mercurian and then it opened up and she started chugging down Liquid Mercury to refresh herself. Now, this would be really bad for a normal human, even most alien lifeforms, but Vela's a Mercurian so it was fine for her. As for how Cecily was able to make skin contact with the literal mercury sweating from Vela? Space Patrol Delta Specialists have had a number of augmentations done on them, meaning the usual neurological and behavioral disorders that would normally be observed after inhalation, ingestion or dermal exposure of different mercury compounds, symptoms of which include tremors, insomnia, memory loss, neuromuscular effects, headaches and cognitive and motor dysfunction, wouldn't bother them due to them being enhanced to survive numerous different environments along with their other physiological enhancements. Side note, Mercury poisoning severe enough that it can have active impacts on one's body is generally considered about 100 nanograms per milliliter of blood. So now you know! "Anytime, Vela, anytime! I know you'll be a worthy opponent every time!" "Mercurian's Rule!" "WOOH!" "You really did well out there, Cecily." Requiem complimented her again. "Nice moves." "Float like a Dragonmoth, sting like a Veinwasp, as we like to say back home. ⌿⏃⎍⌿⏁⟒⎅⌰⊬!" " ⊑⎍⍀⍀⌰⟒⌇!" Requiem replied back. "That really was an excellent performance out there on the mat. You ladies know how to put on a bloody good show." Leonard Russel complimented them. Vela finished chugging her drink and gasped as she began to feel refreshed. "Ohhh that's better. Hey, thanks for the compliment Leo, you want to get in there next?" "Sounds like a challenge! I'm Game! Who else wants to throw down?" Requiem smiled and raised her hand. "I'm game if you are! I'll even let you bring in a tag-team partner if you want." "Oh you really think you're that good, huh?" Leo challenged. "You know I am." "If you say so." Embertoss replied. "Hey, Leo! You want a partner?" "Hey if she thinks she's really that good then I say we give her a chance to prove it. Lets Rumble." Cecily slapped Requiem on the back and she began walking down the bleachers while Leonardo and Embertoss got together on the mat for the 2 VS 1 sparring match against Requiem.

"Yeah! That's my girl, right there!" Requiem cheered on Cecily and high-fived her as she walked over to the bleachers. As they stepped into the ring, the tension was palpable. The echoes of their footsteps and the sound of their breathing filled the air, creating an atmosphere of anticipation. They took their positions and bowed to each other, a sign of respect and admiration for their opponents. The rules were simple, it was a two vs one sparring match and the only way to win was to knock out or submit both opponents. The trio warmed up and then they got read for the fight. The three of them circled each other warily, their bodies tense and ready for the fight until Leonardo and Embertoss shared a glance at each other and then they went on the attack, their fists flying towards Requiem in a flurry of strikes which she met with expert timing and precision and she began blocking and deflecting and dodging around their attacks. It was not easy! They were about as skilled as she was and they trained as hard as everyone else in The Space Police. The three of them moved with lightning speed, their strikes and blocks a blur as they engaged in a dance of combat. Requiem's movements were fluid and precise, her strikes landing with deadly accuracy, while Leonardo and Embertoss fought as a well-coordinated team, their attacks coming from different angles, often catching Requiem off guard. The three of them were moving so fast that even when they were standing toe-to-toe like this their movements were a blazing fast blur of speed! Requiem was utilizing the ironclad defense of The Heroes Shield Fighting Style. A defensive martial arts style that required immense physical strength, unwavering discipline, and unyielding determination. She could tell that they were trying to wear her down. It was a smart strategy, but it was one that she had anticipated and she knew that they were already planning their own movements ahead as well, all three of them adjusting their strategies on the fly, but Requiem's defense seemed impenetrable as she blocked and deflected their punches aside and shut down their kicks with her arms or legs. Even as they switched it up to maneuver around her, she simply took up the Dual Faced Warrior Stance which allowed her to control the left and right sides of her body freely yet separately whiles reading their flow, matching her movements to them, and then using that knowledge to anticipate their movements and use their flow against them using awareness about herself and her opponents to her advantage via using all of her senses to constantly gauge where everything is and feeling where her and her opponents balance was. She was moving as soon as her opponents had decided what to do before they had started to move in that direction, deflecting and shutting down their attacks with her body moving for her while she stared ahead and moved and flowed around them like a leaf or petal in the wind. It was astounding to watch. She moved in an unnatural way with ethereal grace and skill that really looked like she was two people in one each utilizing one half of her body as she utilized her own modified version of The Pai Zhuq Master Zhao Jingyi's style to expertly defend herself from their simultaneous attacks. As the match unfolded, the onlookers witnessed an epic display of martial arts prowess. Requiem twirled through the air with grace, her footwork effortlessly evading the blows of her opponents. Leonardo and Embertoss displayed remarkable teamwork, coordinating their attacks and using their own unique styles and teamwork to try and overpower Requiem, leaving herm with little room to breathe. The sound of flesh hitting flesh echoed through the gym as their bodies collided. The spectators were amazed by the intensity of the fight, cheering and gasping with each move. The three of them appeared evenly matched, exchanging blows and counterattacks with lightning speed, but Requiem had the edge thanks to her expert defensive skills. Leonardo lunged forward with lightning speed, his fists flying towards Requiem's face. She ducked under his punches and countered with a powerful kick to his side. Leonardo staggered but quickly regained his footing. Embertoss was not far behind; he launched himself at Requiem with unmatched agility. His strikes were precise and deadly, testing every ounce of Requiem's skill and strength. She blocked and dodged his attacks with expert precision, countering with swift kicks and punches of her own until she finally managed to send him sprawling across the floor with a series of quick strikes followed by a devastating roundhouse kick. This finally gave her some breathing room to focus on Leonardo. "Are you okay, Ember?" "Yeah, yeah I'll be fine, just give me a moment. Go have fun. I'll be right up." "Cool." Leonardo's focus shifted to Requiem and the ongoing sparring match. He struck first with a swift, low flying kick, but she effortlessly evaded it by sidestepping. Refusing to back down, he followed up with a medium kick, only to be met with a successful block from Requiem. Unfazed, Leonardo then attempted a leaping kick towards her head, but once again, it was effortlessly blocked and deflected. In order to adapt to her superior defense, Leonardo quickly transitioned into a series of high-speed spinning kicks, but each one was met with skillful defense from Requiem as she continuously retreated. Realizing the futility of his kicks, Leonardo changed his approach and unleashed a barrage of chain punches and boxing combinations. Yet, Requiem remained unfazed and calmly defended herself, blocking each attack with her forearms. The two combatants danced around each other, their movements fluid and precise. Leonardo unleashed a relentless onslaught of punches, but Requiem stood her ground, skillfully blocking each strike. Undeterred, Leonardo aimed for Requiem's vulnerable spots, but she remained resolute, refusing to yield to his assault. Despite incorporating kicks into his attacks, Requiem effortlessly neutralized his every move. Leonardo took a step back and launched a powerful double kick, but Requiem absorbed the impact without flinching. Determined, he tried several more kicks, but Requiem effortlessly deflected or evaded them all. Frustration mounting, Leonardo aimed a final kick at her head, only to have it swiftly caught by Requiem. With a deft spin, she sent him flying and positioned herself by his side. Leonardo quickly recovered and unleashed a new combination of attacks, throwing a flurry of jabs that Requiem effortlessly swatted aside. He followed up with powerful punches, but she deflected them with ease. Leonardo attempted a kick, but Requiem gracefully dodged it. Unyielding, he tried another kick, but once again, she evaded it effortlessly. Leonardo refused to give up and executed a spinning kick, but Requiem skillfully maneuvered around it. Determined to break through her defenses, Leonardo launched another boxing combination, only to be met with Requiem's solid blocks. He attempted a spinning punch, but she swiftly countered by grabbing his arm, twisting it, and delivering a devastating blow to his stomach. Leonardo gasped in pain as the powerful punch struck him like an explosive force. Requiem didn't let up, launching a rapid series of strikes to his stomach, followed by an elbow uppercut that sent his head flying upwards. She then delivered a palm strike to his cheek, a flurry of body blows, and two strikes across his face. With precision, she landed punches to his chest before finishing with a chain punch. Just as Ember attempted to intervene with a sweeping kick, Requiem effortlessly backflipped over him, maintaining her unwavering focus while Ember caught Leo and checked on him. "Hey man! Hey, hey, are you alright?" "Yeah, yeah...I'm...I'm okay...I'm alright. Give me a second here." - "This is crazy. They're coming at her with everything and she's still styling on them." Celethe exclaimed in amazement. She always knew that Requiem was amazing but her defense was almost flawless. "Yeah, that's her variation Of The Heroes Shield Style." Officer Breq'on said to her. "She took inspiration from Master Zhao's Heroes Shield Style, which is itself modified from the Peaceful Warrior's Style, and added in elements of others, like we all have for our respective preferred styles, in addition to the standard Space Kenpo." He explained. "She really is something else. Did you know she was one of the talented prodigies even back during her time with the Earth-Branch Rangers?"

"Yeah, they called them The Smoking Aces. A group of the most talented officers that S.P.D. ever trained with an an instinctual grasp of the techniques that takes other years to master, an innate fighting talent that allowed them to develop their combat abilities at a truly phenomenal growth rate, and an extremely strong work ethic, which, when combined with their training and the later augmentations turned them into the Super-Superheroes they are today." "Heh. Ha-ha-ha-ha. That's cool. And it's even better that we're able to keep up with them. But of course we also put in the work. Like all Ranger Teams." "That's the secret isn't it? If you want to be the best person, the best Ranger, you can be? You have to put in the work like everyone who has come before you. Not to mention all the effort it takes to properly train and hone your abilities." "That's the basis for Karovan Telekinesis Training. We learn about our abilities as children and then train them with instructors over the course of our school days." Celethe replied and made her water bottle levitate in the air. "You know? I've been wondering, why don't you use that in matches more often?" "Because we're usually honing our hand-to-hand skills and you guys aren't using your powers either. Now, if you want to try a Powers Match? Then I'll show you guys what I can really do." Breq'on chuckled. "As tempting as that offer is, I think I'll let the Space Criminals feel the brunt of your wrath." She laughed with him and lowered the bottle back down to her hand and sat back to watch the remainder of the match.

Give me a second here." Requiem took a breather and let her friends catch their breath and recover. "You guys feeling alright?" "Yeah, doing just fine, Requiem." Leo told her. "This is nothing compared to what we all went through back during basic training." "I'm glad to hear it. You're both as tough as ever." Ember and Leo recovered and stood up and faced Requiem once again. All three of them braced themselves for the next round of their friendly sparring match and then Ember and Leo attacked her simultaneously while Requiem prepared her defensive stance. Ember went for a high kick while Leonardo aimed for her midsection. Requiem effortlessly blocked both attacks with a swift movement of her arms. Then she counterattacked with a quick jab to Ember's chest, followed by a side kick to Leonardo's abdomen. Ember returned the favor with a spinning backfist that Requiem easily deflected. As they continued to exchange blows, it became clear that Requiem was the dominant fighter. She moved with grace and precision, anticipating her opponents' moves before they even made them. Her reflexes were honed to perfection, and her striking technique was second to none. Despite their best efforts, Ember and Leonardo struggled to land any significant blows against her. She had always favored a defensive-oriented style that focused on outlasting her opponents rather than overpowering them. Her opponents knew this well but were determined to test her impenetrable defenses. It was another challenge to overcome. Another chance to test and improve their skills. Leonardo attacked first with a flurry of punches and kicks aimed at breaking through Requiem's guard. His movements were swift and precise, each strike calculated to find a weakness in her defense. But Requiem effortlessly parried each blow with practiced ease. Embertoss followed suit with powerful strikes that shook the ground beneath them. His immense strength threatened to overpower Requiem's defenses, yet she remained unfazed. With every strike that came her way, she gracefully evaded or deflected it with flawless technique. Burning determination shone in their eyes as they coordinated their next attacks. Then, with a loud shout, they exploded into motion. Leo and Embertoss charged at Requiem simultaneously, their fists and feet a blur as they attempted to overwhelm her with their superior numbers. Requiem, however, had been anticipating this strategy and easily sidestepped their attacks, countering with quick jabs and kicks of her own. Leo darted forward, launching a flurry of rapid punches, hoping to overwhelm Requiem with his lightning-fast strikes. However, she effortlessly parried each blow, countering with calculated strikes that pushed Leo back, forcing him to reassess his approach. Meanwhile, Embertoss recognized the need for a different tactic. With his immense strength, he aimed to overpower Requiem by launching powerful kicks and heavy-handed punches. But Requiem's defensive instincts kicked in, evading, blocking, and redirecting Embertoss's attacks with impeccable precision and timing. Her grace and agility seemed to defy the laws of gravity as she effortlessly maneuvered around the field. The fight continued for several minutes more, with neither side gaining an advantage. It was clear that this was not a matter of strength or speed, but of skill and technique. As the intensity of the battle reached its peak, Ember and Leonardo began to tire while Requiem's movements remained as precise and powerful as ever. After what felt like an eternity of the three of them throwing hands on the field in their intense sparring match, Requiem sensed that her friends were beginning to tire. She decided to end the match quickly and decisively. With a burst of speed, she darted forward and executed a flurry of strikes against Ember, forcing him back down the mat and then she knocked him down with three quick kicks to the stomach. Then she turned her attention to Leonardo, who was beginning to breathe heavily from exertion. She launched a series of rapid punches and kicks, overwhelming him with her relentless assault. Ready to finish it, Requiem drove a powerful punch into his chest, sending him flying back several feet. Before Ember could react, she spun around and delivered a spinning back kick that sent him crashing to the ground. With their two strongest opponents momentarily incapacitated, Requiem stood over them, her breath coming in quick gasps. "You guys are really something else," she said with a grin. "Always pushing me to be better." Ember and Leonardo slowly rose to their feet, brushing off the dirt and laughing as they acknowledged defeat. "Well," Ember said, "I guess we'll have to come up with some new moves for next time." "Oh, don't worry about that," Requiem replied, wiping sweat from her brow. "I'll be sure to keep an eye out for any weaknesses in your game." She bragged before switching to a more kind reserved smile. "Seriously though, you two made a good showing out there. You should be proud of yourselves." "Oh we are. We are. And I think I'm finally starting to see through that 'Heroes Shield' Style of yours." Leo replied. "Give me a little bit of time to rest and shadowbox and I'll come up with a way to pierce it." "Looking forward to it, man." She replied and helped them both up. "Out of curiosity, has anybody ever actually broken through your defenses before?" Ember questioned. "Plenty of people. I'm good, I'm really good, but I'm not invincible. I've taken plenty of hits. In the field and in training. Dominar Greyhwak used to beat me in matches all the time. I wasn't quite as skilled back then as I am now but maaaaan, her Celestial Boxing got me every time." The three of them shared a laugh before beginning to stretch out their muscles and cool down from the intense sparring match. It was another day at the dojo for the three friends, but it was also another opportunity to learn "Daemon Dominar. Yeah, I can't fault you for that. Even the Upper Ranks put respect on her name." "Celestial Boxing, huh? Is that another branch of Cosmic Kenpo?" Ember asked. "Yeah. Master Pachacamac's Cosmic Kenpo Style is designed for Spacians of their species but over the very long years of Cosmic Kenpo being handed down, different species have adapted and modified it into their own branches that suit their biology better. Our Space Kenpo and Greyhawk's Celestial Boxing are two of those branching styles." "Interesting. I'm going to research that some more." "Go right ahead. The overall history of it goes back centuries and it's a really interesting read. If you do want to learn the style proper though....there's about only one Master that I know if who could maybe teach you and she's super busy keeping peace in the universe." Leo and Ember looked at each other and back to Requiem. "Are you talking about who I think you are?" "Yeppers! The current Master of Cosmic Kenpo outside of the Pachacamac's is none other than Queen Andromeda herself!"

"You're welcome, bro." They made some small talk with each other as they returned to the bleachers to the applause of their friends. Requiem climbed up the bleachers and sat down with Celethe and grabbed her own water bottle. "Ohhhh that was fun. Those guys were good." "Nice moves out there." Celethe complimented her. "Thanks a lot. Hey, you and Merc were badass too. Loved that spin kick combo at the end. Was that a Kaitengeri Variation?" "You noticed that?" Celethe asked excitedly. "Yeah, yeah! She leaned back against the bleachers while Requiem continued drinking her water. "So what do you want to do in the meantime?" "I am going to finish my drink and then I am going to hit the weights. Want to come?" "Oh hell yeah! Want to spot me first?" "Sure!" The two ladies descended the bleachers and made small talk between each other en route to the weights.

Another machine, the "Cardio-Craze," was a holographic treadmill that transported you to a virtual world of endless running and jumping. The machine's advanced algorithms adjusted the intensity and terrain to keep your workout challenging and engaging, all while monitoring your vital signs to ensure you didn't overdo it. With virtual reality headsets adorning participants' eyes, they could immerse themselves in breathtaking landscapes or engage in interactive games that made workouts feel like exhilarating adventures. From scaling virtual mountains to exploring underwater caves, the possibilities were limitless. Celethe and Requiem walked towards a Bench Machine and Celethe typed in her desired Bench Press into the interface and then she pressed the Go Button. 7200 Lbs, 3.6 Tons, it was go time. She got into position underneath the barbell, braced herself and then she placed her hands firmly on its cold steel surface. Her grip tightened and then she lifted it up into the air and brought it down and then she raised it back up. With Requiem spotting her just for the purposes of safety, she continued the workout. Lowering the bar down to her chest and then she raised it back up into the air before repeating the process. As Celethe's fingers clasped the cold metal and she continued her workout, she closed her eyes and let her thoughts wander. Thoughts of missions accomplished, lives saved, and the countless enemies brought to justice flooded her mind. Endless battles, infinite victories, and the never-ending pursuit of peace propelled her forward. Slowly, Celethe pressed against the bar, feeling the weight of the universe pushing back. With each rep, her muscles strained, and her heart beat in sync with the hum of the station's engines. With each heave of the bar, Celethe's determination grew, her spirit igniting with an inner fire. The rhythm of the repetitions matched the pulsating universe outside of the station, as if they were in harmonious synchrony. The universe conspired to add its energy to the weight upon her chest, for it recognized in her the embodiment of strength and justice. As Celethe continued to raise and lower the bar towards her chest, she could feel every fiber of muscle straining against the immense pressure. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead despite the cool environment created within their training facility aboard the station. As she completed each rep with precision and control, energy surged through every cell in Celethe's body. The adrenaline rush mixed with a sense of accomplishment fueled her determination further. Minutes turned into what felt like hours as Celethe powered through one rep after another without showing any signs of fatigue. Her mind focused solely on the task at hand, blocking out the distractions of the ship's hum and the distant chatter of her fellow officers. The Bench continued to adjust to her progress as the workout continued, meaning that 3.6 Tons was just the start! She continued to raise it up and down again and again and again until with a final grunt she forced it back up one last time and handed it off to Requiem who took it off her hands and set it down on the machine. Celethe sat up gasping for breath and she turned around and looked at the machine for what she got. "1011 Reps. 4.010 Tons. 8020 Lbs. Nice. That feels good. That feels really good. Want to take over before I do my next set?" "Certainly. Appreciate the generosity Celethe." She high fived her. "Hold your head up high by the way. You're hella strong." "And I'm only going to get stronger!" Celethe declared. "Stronger." "Harder." "Faster." " Better!" They both finished.
