Jason Todd wiggled his fingers on his jeans as he and Bruce silently stared each other down. He looked to the side at Alfred and then he looked forward back at Bruce. Bruce was of course completely comfortable for Bruce but it was just so damn uncomfortable for Jason that he eventually had to be the one to break it.
"Bruce, be honest, is this about me bringing down the building on Joker? Look even I agree that was probably a bit too over the top but I just really wanted to make sure that he was 100% dead this time. The three bullets logically would've been enough but he's bounced back from what should've been certain death before so I wasn't taking any chances this time around. I was putting that clown in the ground this time. I understand you have your rules and regulations and I've accepted that you, personally, will never take a life but in all fairness I left that rule behind years ago. I understand that this is likely goodbye between the two of us and I've accepted it but even you have to admit that he had that coming since day one."

Jason bits his lower lip to try and mask his emotions as Bruce continues to speak. “ I also know what it’s like. I’ve lost count of the many times I wanted to end his life right then and there but I didn’t .”
“ Maybe not then, but you would’ve gotten around to it. But that is not the kind of hero that Gotham needs. If someone was going to carry that burden, then it may as well be me” Jason said

If someone was going to carry that burden, then it may as well be me” Jason said "And it is a heavy burden to bare, the taking of any life, even a monster like him, but it is not one that you will bare alone. We're here for you Jason. Your family is here for you and we always will be. No matter what happens or what Gotham or the world throws at us. We will always be here for you, Son." Jason managed to force a smile and a short laugh. "Oh-okay. You're....you're just playing dirty now." "I'm tactical, Jason, if the bad guys see that as fighting dirty that's their problem. But I'm not down here as Batman right now. I'm here as Bruce Wayne. Your adoptive father. And I'm here for you. We both are." "Bruce...I...well....oh screw it." He got up and hugged Bruce. Bruce returned it. Gently yet firmly to reassure his son that he was here for him. "There you go. There you go. It's alright Jason. You're alright now. I understand why you did it and I'm not going to judge or condemn you for it. He had that coming for years." He patted Jason on the back and stepped back as Alfred handed him a tissue if he needed it. "Oh man thanks Al. You're the best." "Compliments appreciated Master Todd. Rest assured, Master Bruce has told you the truth. We all understand why you did what you did. If I may be so bold I'm honestly surprised it didn't happen to him sooner." |

Harley's usually either in The Squad or off doing her own thing so it's not like Joker's gang, the ones I didn't blow up with him, has any real leader so they'll be a leaderless gang getting picked off. Either by The Bats, The GCPD or everyone else who had beef with him and want his territory now. At the very least Penguin and Black Mask will definitely make a move. Despite everything, I'll stick around and help you fight if you want." "Oh don't worry about that. I've got a few contingency plans in place just for such a situation. Take time for yourself Jason. Rest. Heal. Recover. Come back when you're ready. I've got a few friends I can call in to help back us up in the meantime." "Oh hey! Does this mean we finally get to unleash Gangwar Plan 47/B?" Damien raise his hands, "I know how crazy it could get over there Father. Especially during Halloween. But as long as Mindy and I follow the rules we should be OK. And besides Cody would be there to make sure of that"

I've been waiting for the spark to set off the fireworks and now we've finally got it! Tell Homelander I need to speak with him! Go! Right now!" "Yes Ma'am!" - Mindy McCready was in the middle of maintaining her weapons in her safehouse when she heard her phone buzz and she picked it up. - OT! Sooo stoked to see the Crossovers Version of Cody and The Amazing Fantastical Town! Jason and Mindy are going to have the time of their lives over there! |

The Bat and his squad were the only thing keeping them from tearing it apart and all of the big name criminals kept each other in check. Their battles never really evolving beyond petty squabbles really. Nothing major ever happened between them to truly shift the power dynamic. But now? Now The Joker is dead for real. Which means the power balance has been thrown off completely which means that all of the big names in Gotham are going to be rushing to fill the power gap he left behind with every two bit thug rushing to sign up with them in hopes of getting in on that for themselves." Stillwell explained. "In short we're looking down the barrel of massive super gang war. Gotham's dangerous enough already, right? But now? Now it's going to be the fucking purge night. Even Batman and his allies might be in trouble with that shit. You know what that means? It means that's a perfect situation for The Seven to make a dramatic entrance and save the day alongside The BatFamily. Ratings and Hero Approval are going to shoot through the roof after that." - Damian just laughed. "Don't worry dad. I was informed that you yourself did not heed such advice that night with Mother in Metropolis." He joked. "I know all about protection. Besides, I don't see Mindy as the type to settle down anyway." Damian took a bow and hurried to the stairs to return to the mansion. |

 In the power game for control of Gotham, there's only one weapon that The Penguin utilizes that would maintain an advantage. Patience. He likes to stand on the rooftop of his luxurious penthouse suite that he had earned through years of blood and sweat. And the many many sacrifices that he has made over the years. He's all smiles, feeling like he's ontop of the world. One of the most notorious criminals is dead and soon what was Joker's will soon be his. He could make an example to anyone who would try to takeover but why waste the resources? He could just continue to grow his empire while the criminals wear themselves out by killing each other. He had always had his theory that someone was going to off him. Joker has made a lot of enemies and Batman couldn't protect him forever. But to have it be a member of Batman's own family? It felt like a punchline to a joke. 'You know the difference between me and you Joker? Time and stability. One of these days that chaotic nature of yours will end up costing you. And I will be there to laugh my arse off when it does'His thoughts of his last encounter with Joker ring in his head, a smile formed on his face. He likes to stand on the rooftop of his luxurious penthouse suite that he had earned through years of blood and sweat. And the many many sacrifices that he has made over the years. He's all smiles, feeling like he's ontop of the world. One of the most notorious criminals is dead and soon what was Joker's will soon be his. He could make an example to anyone who would try to takeover but why waste the resources? He could just continue to grow his empire while the criminals wear themselves out by killing each other. He had always had his theory that someone was going to off him. Joker has made a lot of enemies and Batman couldn't protect him forever. But to have it be a member of Batman's own family?
