Carina laughed, "Ironically empathy is one of the key things that my Dominar teaches me. He mentioned that it's one of the new Venturi teachings he seeks to incorporate because the old teachings used to be that we should not be empathetic." she contemplates on mentioning that's one of the reasons why Ash's Dominar fell. Fortunately, Ash managed to save him in the end. "That's good to hear. If anybody is fit to rework their ancient teachings it would be Ash. He's not just one of the greatest swordsmen in the Universe but he's also one of the wisest. It's why we listened to his tactical advice so often." "I know, right? Operation White Citadel was primarily his plan and that strategy is going down in the Historical Records!" "Like I said: A Master Tactician. Be sure to lean into those teachings, Carina, they are the key to The Quintessence. When individuals stand together and for each other, that becomes a powerful force that can overcome any challenges, conflicts or adversities that they may encounter in life." "That's the philosophy of The Venturi and it's carried them to victory through the ages! Andromeda's always said that tapping into that kind of power saved her and everyone else multiple times in the war." "And she's telling the truth. Trust me, the stories about Andromeda do her justice but she is absolute magic to witness in person." - - "You, her and Ash are some of the most derseviams soldiers in space." Carina complimented her. "Wow. Putting me in the same category as the two legends. I appreciate the compliments. Galition!" " Kufflon!" She responded cheerfully. "And hey you deserve it for all the work you put into saving the Galaxy alongside us. I just hope I can stand alongside you and the others as a legend in my own right." "Just keep putting in the work and you'll stand above us all one day." Kurata assured her and Carina's subsequent smile illuminated the room around Kurata even more. "You're welcome kiddo. Anything else I can help you with?" "I think that about covers it and I need to get back to my training soon. It was just really nice to see you again Kurata. You're looking great and I'm glad you're finding your footing down on Earth. Rest assured, the next time we meet in person? I'll be on the fast track to becoming a Hero myself! I can't say for sure if I'll be perfect soldier myself but...I will be a true Hero!" "Heh. You know? I'm pretty sure that Perfect Soldier is an Oxymoron anyway since nobody is perfect anyway. Much less soldiers. Just be the best person you can be, Carina, and you'll do just fine. Remember to never lose your heart." "I won't. No matter what happens. Promise." "I'll hold you to that. Be sure to let the others know that I said hi!" "They'll be glad to hear that Kurata, trust me, I know they miss you up here." "Feeling's mutual. I'll see you around Carina. And I hope that our paths cross again one day." "Hey, who knows? It might be sooner than you think. See you around, Ran. Ajalitrak!" " Ajalitrak!" Carina laughed and waved goodbye as the holo-call ended and she vanished. She was soon replaced by Andromeda. "I think we can agree that you both needed that." "Yeah, it was really nice seeing her again. You guys have done an amazing job raising her up." "It's only natural. We're not her only role models after all." "Then I'll do my best to live up to her expectations." Kurata promised with a bow before standing back up. "So...Ash really is changing up The Venturi, huh?"

As much as we all respect the traditional old ways there are still some things that needed to be updated. He'll also be improving and streamlining their training methods and gear for optimization among other things." "That's good to hear. Just because something's amazing doesn't mean it can't be improved." "Of course! Progress is constantly moving forward and we'll all work together to ensure the Galaxy and beyond are brought together into a brighter tomorrow!" Andromeda exclaimed. "I know we can do it with everyone working together." "That's right ma'am. The future will be a bright one with you leading us." "You flatter me, Kurata. Thank you." "You've earned it, Andro. Will there be anything else?" "Actually yeah. This is just between you and me right now, since I want it to be a surprise, but I'm planning to take her to The Cosmic Carnival when she gets a break." "The one on Charybdis? Maaaaan, that brings me back. I still remember the crazy fight we had with Altisgong Zumsinkro on that planet." "You threw him off of the Cosmic Wheel and he was stepped on by one of the robots. It was quite a day." They shared a laugh at the memory of the battle. "So I guess they rebuilt after?" "Yeah. We helped finish it up after The War and they're back and better than ever! I can't wait for her to see it. She's been looking forward to it for a long time." "That sounds fantastic, Andro. You should do it. You guys have more than earned a break after everything." "You too dear. Be sure to take some time to have some fun down there on Earth." "I will. Thank you." "Alright then. I think that about covers the call. It was so nice to see you again and we're all glad to see that you're doing so well out there Kurata." "Back at you, Andro. You look amazing. Thanks for checking in with me." "Anytime. And remember if you ever need help?" "Just call. I know and the same to you. Be sure to tell those goofballs on my team that I miss them." "Ohhh rest assured they feel exactly the same but I'll be sure to pass it onto everyone. All the best, Kurata. Take care. Ajalitrak!" " Ajalitrak!" The two friends waved goodbye and the hologram call ended. Kurata paused and smiled before she stepped forward and picked up the projector and slipped it into her pocket, took out a gun holster from the shelf and attached it to herself, holstered her Starlight Pistol, grabbed her jacket and walked out of the room to go continue her day with a much brighter disposition now. Last nights nightmares of the war were completely discarded. It really was amazing how much catching up with old friends can do for you.

Kurata strolled on out of the hotel and took a deep breath of that Summershell air! The sweet aromas of freshly baked bread, fresh fruits, fresh fish and flowers tickled her senses and brought a smile to her face as she embraced the laughter of the children and townspeople around her intermingling with the sounds of the hardworking people of Summershell.
Tucked away on the coast Summershell is a charming picturesque hidden gem of a town that offers a unique blend of natural beauty and small-town charm The town is surrounded by lush greenery and boasts several hiking trails making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. With its cobblestone streets, quaint cottages adorned with colorful flowers, and a tranquil river winding through the center, Summershell is a place straight out of a fairytale, with colorful cottages lining cobblestone streets, flower-filled gardens spilling over fences, and the sweet scent of blooming roses lingering in the air. At the center of Summershell stood a majestic oak tree that was said to be as old as time itself. Its gnarled branches reached towards the sky, casting dappled shadows on the town square below. Underneath its ancient boughs, villagers would gather to share stories and laughter, their faces lit up by the warm glow of twilight.
The townspeople of Summershell were known for their warmth and hospitality, always welcoming visitors with open arms. The town square was always bustling with activity, from merchants selling their goods to children playing games and musicians performing lively tunes. As the sun sets locals and visitors alike gather at the town square to enjoy live music street performers and delicious food from local vendors With a tight-knit community and endless opportunities for adventure Summershell is a must-visit destination for nature lovers.
It was beautiful, it was charming, it was a fairytale, it was exactly what she needed after The War. Just a charming, cheerful, friendly, out of the way place where she could relax and unwind for a little while before she moved on again. Kurata had no illusions about staying here either, no more than she'd stay any other place until she found her footing, but Summershell was the kind of place where she might stay for at least a little bit longer than others.
Kurata Ran took a deep breath and took it all in and then she began walking through the town again. Her eyes scanned the town, literally, and she took in all of the usual sights. All of the kind and sweet and smiling people. It was such a beautiful town. One that knew nothing of war. One that had never been touched by the horrors of war. Much less any of the various Monster Attacks that had hit the Earth over the years. One of the benefits of being so far out of the way really. She had to bring Carina here some time. She'd love it here.
"Hey there soldier! Good morning! Did you sleep well?" Cornelius Clanton asked her. A model citizen and the embodiment of the friendly folksy nature of Summershell, Conrelius is a sturdy young man with an athletic build, a testament to his hands-on lifestyle as a farmer. He stands about six feet tall, with sun-kissed skin that reflects his time spent outdoors. His hair is a touseled mop of light brown, often hidden beneath a well-worn straw hat to shield him from the sun. He has bright green eyes that sparkle with kindness and warmth, framed by slightly bushy eyebrows. The farmboy has a suitably boyish charm to him with his broad smile that reveals a set of straight, white teeth, with lips curved in a friendly grin.
Kurata paused to check the time. 9:59 AM with approximately 30 seconds to go until it became 10:00 AM.
"Slept great. I think it's the air here. You know? The environment. It's safe here. It's safe and warm and cozy so it was easy to fall asleep."
"Safe, warm and cozy is Summershell in a walnutshell, soldier. If you need a chill place to unwind this is it. We'll welcome basically anyone into our town. Don't matter what you did, soldier, only matters who you are now. So feel free to relax, kick your feet up and embrace the country lifestyle. We've got your back."
"You're sweet, Cornelius. But please. Feel free to just call me Kurata. I'm not on active duty."
"Right. My apologies. Kurata. Ah, hey, if you don't mind me asking, where on Earth did you serve again?"
"Not on Earth Cornelius. Up there." She pointed up to the sky. "Among the stars."
"That sounds incredible. So you're a Space Soldier, huh? You've have got to tell us all about it some time. Around the campfire. Sure would break up the monotony of the ghost stories."
Kurata laughed. "Sorry to disappoint you but these aren't exactly the kind of war stories you tell around the campfire. You're honestly better off not hearing about them. Besides, there are certain aspects of the war I'm not allowed to talk about anyway." Kurata informed him.
"Fair enough! Apologies if I came off as prying."
"No apologies necessary. Curiosity is a natural human trait. Just keep being you and keep being wonderful, Cornelius. As for me I'm going to have a late breakfast. Good day my friend."
"Good day, Kurata." He waved goodbye as she walked away hands in her pockets towards the diner.
