I've just watched one episode of The Sandman. Without giving anything away I must say, in the span of one episode, I knew about the lore, character, and story a hell of a lot better than She-Hulk.
I knew enough about the comic but I consider myself a casual viewer. And in one episode the series managed to make me give a shit about the character of Morpheus. It's ironic that the closest thing to an actual God managed to portray some human qualities that I care about than the brat that was She-Hulk.
Without giving anything away, having stakes also helped. By the time Dr.Destiny shows up the fire will really crank up. And this series just came out. Disney really needs to get their shit together. Especially with Cobra Kai coming out pretty soon.

Very cool! I'm early into the show myself and seen some clips myself, mostly of Death, and it is definitely an amazing series. Sandman is really shaping up to be something special and I am eagerly waiting to see where it goes in the rest of the season!  |
