As the three boys were walking Deku thought back to the way Bakugou reacted from Komodo's comments, he has seen Bakugou pissed before and usually that's his default expression, yet there was something about this that troubled him a little bit. "Say Kacchan?"
"Yeah" Bakugou said
"Y-You know you shouldn't let anyone who say stuff about...well-"
Mineta glanced at Deku, he didn't say it but his expression clearly warns him to not press it.
Bakugou sighs, "Ten seconds to say what you have to say then drop the subject"
"Speakingfrompersonalexperience,Isaytakewhateveranyonesayasstrengthandbebetterthanwhattheyexpectyoutobe" Deku exhaled as he finished his rambling
Mineta tilts his head in confusion then looks at the viewers
(In other words, better than my old man I take it? Heh..I can go with that) Bakugou, taking his words to heart. "I promise you this, I will be better. What the heck are you staring at Grape Juice?"
"Oh, nothing" Mineta whistles innocently.
"Come on, runt, if you have something to say, then say it."
"Alright. Just don't laugh."
"We promise, we won't."
"Alright. Well, look." He took a deep breath and blew it out. "Look, you guys, you saved my butt today and I'm not going to forget that. I owe you guys. You saved my butt. Anything you need...I'm there for you. Your whole lives. You feel me, Izuku? Bakugou? Your whole lives. I'm gonna be there for you guys. I'm going to train my quirk and I'll become a great hero to make it up to you guys."
"With a wacky quirk like that? You're gonna have to train your little ass off, Grape Juice but...thank you." Bakugou replied.
"Oh you don't owe us anything." Izuku assured him. "But thanks anyway. I'm sure you guys will be great heroes. Real great heroes. The best of the best."
"We all will." Bakugou scolded Izuku. "All three of us. You aren't giving up on your dream that easily, dammit."
"I...appreciate the vote of confidence, Kacchan, but what can I do without a Quirk?"
"I've been thinking about that actually and I think I have a solution." Bakugou replied proudly.
They both looked up at him. "WHAT?!"
"My solution's brilliance is in its simplicity." Bakugou bragged with his arms crossed.
"Do you seriously have a solution, Kacchan?" Izuku asked eagerly. "This...this better not be a joke."
"It's so simple even you two could've thought of it, really. In fact I'm kind of surprised more people haven't thought of it."
"What is it?"
"Tell us already!"
"Why don't you just go train at Old Man Bangu's Dojo?" Bakugou asked. "You've seen the insane things that martial artists can do on TV, right? Why not train with a Master and get good?"
Izuku and Mineta looked at each other in surprise and then back to Bakugou. "OH..yeah...wow...yeah that is the simple solution. Yeah, yeah, lets do that. We'll get parent permission, if we can, and then go learn Martial Arts from an S-Class Pro Hero!"
The trio eagerly discussed their plans together to seek training under one of the greatest hand-to-hand combat master pro heroes while they walked down the sidewalk, passing by countless other people, Quirked or otherwise, also chilling and going about their every day lives, and passed by a coffee shop on the way.
Normally this would be completely unremarkable except Izuku just happened to glance inside.
Inside, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, intertwining with the soft music that played in the background. The walls were adorned with artwork from local artists, splashes of vibrant colors, and imaginative designs. The eclectic furniture, ranging from cozy armchairs to mismatched vintage tables, added to the undeniable charm of the place.
On this particular afternoon, the coffee shop buzzed with a delightful blend of conversations and laughter. People from all walks of life had gathered here, seeking a moment of respite from their busy routines. Each individual had their own unique story, their own reasons for seeking solace within these walls.
At a corner table, a novelist sat, her eyes sparkling with inspiration, hunched over her notebook. The clinking of her pen against paper resonated with the bubbling energy that swirled around her. It was in this space, amidst the hum of conversation, that her imagination soared and her words danced freely.
A group of friends huddled together at another table, their animated chatter filling the room. They spoke of dreams, goals, and the infinite possibilities that lay ahead. With each sip of their steaming cups, their laughter echoed and filled the air, creating an orchestra of joy.
In a cozy armchair near the window, an elderly couple sat hand in hand. They gazed at each other with a love that had stood the test of time. Their wrinkled smiles spoke volumes of a lifetime shared, the triumphs and struggles weathered together. In the quiet sanctuary of the coffee shop, they reminisced about their adventures, grateful for the years they had carved out for themselves.
A solitary figure sat at the counter, their face hidden behind a worn-out novel. Lost in the pages of a magical world, their fingers caressed the words as if conjuring the characters to life. With each sip of their cappuccino, they dove deeper into the fantastical realms, escaping the boundaries of reality.
That wasn't what grabbed Izuku's attention. What caught his eye was the rather powerful looking young lady leaning on the counter talking to the distressed looking barista and taking notes about the discussion on a notepad. "Hmmmmmmm...."
"What's up, Deku? You into coffee of all a sudden?" Bakugou asked him.
"Not particularly, but, lets step inside anyway." He told his friends and walked right in without waiting.
"Huh? What for?" Mineta asked him.
"At least explain yourself first." Bakugou sighed and followed him inside.
Izuku quietly walked towards the counter with his friends in tow, or at least as much as quietly could with the bells on the door and Bakugou being behind him, but he got close enough to hear the conversation.
"-Been hearing weird noises on the roof, I've had the strangest sensation of someone following me, customers have been talking about a weird man watching the shop, my cars tires were slashed.....I-I think somebody is stalking me!"
"I see. Have you informed a Hero yet?"
"Yeah. I talked to the last one that stepped in here, and I know we're all perfectly safe as long as All Might's around, but I still can't shake this feeling that this guy could come attack me."
"I see, I see, alright. Do you live with anybody?"
"No, it's just me. And my Quirk isn't exactly combat oriented. If he has a Combat Quirk I'm screwed!"
"Okay. I understand. Listen Sasori. You can stay with us for a little while until this blows over. The Kurosawa's have plenty of room and Big Sis won't mind giving you protection. In the meantime, I'd be happy to be your bodyguard. You won't even have to pay me anything."
"Are you serious? You mean it? You really mean it?" Sasori asked excitedly. "Oh thank you so much, Chidori!"
"Don't even mention it." She held her hand with one hand and flexed the bicep of her other hand and her fist glowed with light and energy.
"Granted, I have school in the Morning, but I can arrange for someone to watch over you in the meantime and I'll swing by after school to be your bodyguard while I work on my homework."
"Oh thank you, Chidori, thank you oh so very much!" She bowed her head and sighed with relief before raising it back up. "But, wait! What about Mister Funahashi? He's...well....he can be rough."
"What about him? He doesn't tell me what to do." Chidori replied with a shrug.
"Of course it's you." Bakugou growled.
"I knew it! That lady needs our help! Tell us what we can do!" Izuku exclaimed.
