The poster child of how an outsider would picture a quaint small town. Although it hasn't been so small as of recently. The town has been facing a Boom Period that has caused not just a spike in tourists but people who'd like to move here to get away from the craziness of the big city. If you'd ask any local in Shepard they're known for three things: Football(Home of The Shepard University Lycans), it's Fall Festivals that occurs every October. And the most important thing is the strange occurrences that would go on in this town.

Originally most would balk at the happenings as a hoax. Till an incident ended convincing outsiders that it's not. You'd think it would scare anyone away from the town but it's considered the primary source of tourism that occurs. From The Lizzie Bennet Murder Home. The Cave of Flesh. And the infamous Dog Park.

There are a few important rules when it comes to The Dog Park.

1. Do Not Go Into The Dog Park. There is a protection field around it for a reason.

2. Dogs don't even go to the Dog Park. Because they're aware of what's beyond it.

3. If you get a strange sensation of going into The Dog Park then contact our local Wizard Johanna Stark(No relation to Jess and Jean). But whatever you do, DON'T GO INTO THE DOG PARK!

4. Don't worry about Monitor Head. He claims he's a researcher studying the park. He's harmless. As long as you don't interfere in his research.

5. The Town of Shepard is not responsible, in the event these rules are broken. Whatever happens, is on you.

It's also known for local resident David King. He became a local celebrity for stopping The Christmas Slasher when he was a kid and his status hasn't waned ever since.

Shepard is one of the craziest, wackiest, fantastical towns in the country, if not the world, and so long as you mind your manners and mind some very simple rules you can have a blast there. Everyone present is pretty nice overall and can learn a lot about the fantastical from everyone present with hands on first person experience.

Also, Hunters are welcome in Shepard but they have to mind their manners like everyone else. Trying to go Creature Hunting in Shepard is a veeeerrrry bad idea. It's a very tightly knit community there. So if you mess with one person? You mess with everyone and that's a fight you just aren't going to win.

The Hideout of The Blue Devils

Shen

Let's get things right off the bat. I'm not my sister. Azura is the person who helps keeps the gears within our Pargon Agency operational. She's sociable while I'm whom you'd consider anti-social. She's the kind of person who keeps a cool head about things, while I'm the person who aims to misbehave. In a case like this, let's just say these groups of assholes had it coming.

I hid behind the wall of the corridor while my automatic crossbow reloads. From the sounds of the footsteps, I detect around five members of the Blue Devils stalking the area of a low-income apartment complex. The Blue Devils are a band of Goblins who originate from Sector II and are fastly obtaining control over the VI Sector of the Ikanori district. They're a guild that believes in strength in numbers and rules through intimidation. But they'll soon find out I'm not the sort who intimidates easily.

I read my semi-automatic crossbow the moment I hear the sounds of five members of The Blue Devils stalking the hallway. With my heartbeat leveled and my breathing steady, I quickly turned and open fire. In a rapid session the arrows hit my target and lightning crackled from the goblins, they howled as their bodies twitch and spasmed before they hit the floor. I continued my journey to where my target is being held. My contact informed me it's within the lower sections of the complex. Once I informed Ryu of my location he got to work hacking into the security systems. He mentioned I have a good fifteen-minute time window before the security picks back up again. I told Ryu I'd get my target out in 10.

When getting into a fight against a member of the Blue Devil there's one thing to take into account. Never let them have a combat advantage over you. They have the tendency to dip their claws in poison so that once they scratch someone and the poison gets inside a person's bloodstream that person has a good few minutes before their bodies become paralyzed and another few before slipping into a deep coma. That's when they'd have their fun and kill their prey when they're at their most vulnerable. So the best option is to take them out in a swift session.

I made my way through the doorway that leads down the stairs I am faced with hoards of these savages. Some of them charge at me like a pack of rabid animals while others come at me while crawling on the walls. I take out the ones on the walls first then climb up on their corpses to give e enough high ground to take out the ones on the ground. I quickly holstered up my automatic crossbow to save up on ammo to pull out my Sais.

Descending the steps I start attacking any vital organ that would render instant death on the Blue Devils. I miscalculated one of them ambushing me as it lands on my back. Its claw tried to dig into the skin of my neck but I quickly brought my sai up and stabbed it right through its eye socket. I threw my other Sai at one charging at me. The sai hit its forehead as it lands lifeless on the floor.

The odd thing about goblins when they die is that when they die or get killed their bodies turn to dust in a manner of minutes. While it eliminates the possibility of corpses the cleanup of my attire would be a little irritating. I leaped and stabbed the final one through the neck then twist the sai to decapitate its head.

I straightened myself back up and go back to retrieve my other Sai once I'd eradicated the Blue Devils here. I turned my focus toward the door ahead of me. Closing my eyes I kept the adrenaline that was rushing through my veins in check. I approached the door and just as my hand touched the door frame I hear a faint whimpering sound. All thoughts surged throughout my mind as a plethora of emotions flooded it like a tidal wave. The dark part of my brain made me think 'What if it were Ryu behind this door?' That thought made my blood boil but I reminded myself that Ryu's fine. And besides, he helped made this case possible.

I slowly opened the door to step inside. A little girl around Ryu's age dressed in white PJs pressed her back against the wall and brought her knees up to her chest.

Luna Kastagier of Kastagier Industries was kidnapped by The Blue Devils as a form of ransom. Her father, not wanting to attract attention, hired me as he knows my kind of cases tend to keep a low profile and our business isn't well-known enough to raise any alarms.

I crouched down till we are at eye level and assured her in a kind tone to not be afraid. I told her that I'm a Paragon and that I know her father. I assure her that she's safe in my hands.

Still cautious she managed to relax a little.

"Ready to go home, Princess?" I asked kindly

She brushed the bangs of her red hair aside. Luna didn’t say it outright but her body language indicates
she trusted me a little.

I scooped her up in my arms and instructs her to cover her eyes with her hands. The goblins may be dusted but precautions in making sure the kid isn't traumatized further are a must.


Author's Note: I find myself very proud of this update. I thought this is a nice way to establish Shen as a character and his style of fighting. Which is quick, up close, and brutal. While also establishing his Big Brother mixed with Papa Wolf tendencies.

There are a few things from other works I've cherrypicked. The fight scene is a huge shoutout to the Hallway Fight in Daredevil. The up close and brutal nature of the fight scene mixed with Shen's style is a combination of The Raid and Out For Justice.

There are also a few early seasons of Arrow Oliver Queen thrown in for good measure

Also, the funny story in the second pic gave me inspiration for how to carry out Shen's introduction. I may not be a parent or even a guardian but that pic most certainly brought out the Papa Wolf in me.

Now this is heartwarming. Shen is an absolute wrecking machine but a compassionate one with real humanity to him! Great job with the update! Perfected an entire gang of poisoned goblin monsters like an absolute legend and saved the kid! Great work!

Nice touch with the inclusions of the multiple shout-outs too! You can tell that Shen is going places with moves like that and it's nice to see a more old school style of fighting even in a Cyberpunk-Fantasy World!

Out of curiosity, was the Sai fighting inspired by TMNT or Chozen?

I side-glanced at Blue and noticed a big smile on her face the moment she read her message from her P.I.B band. That smile reads one of two things: Big Bro has finished his case and Sis can actually pay our rent. I'm not sure if she was worried but I wasn't. I knew Shen would come through. He'd usually do. And if this job is anything like Blue described then we are in the clear, rent-wise, for a good three months. This means three months of Blue not having to put up with that perverted jerkface Tinkerbell Norrington. So this gives her a break as well.

Note: Blue is an affectionate nickname Ryu would give his sister Azura. Tinkerbell is perhaps the worst insult anyone would give an Elf. Given that Ryu is an Half-Elf there's an irony to that.

"Totally girl" Blue said then fist-bumped Natasha. "Well then, this calls for a celebration drink."

Tasha looked thoughtful before sticking her tongue out, "I could, but still not talking to him"

She's still not over Shen not taking her to do a little Blue Devil smiting.

"Besides Shen mentions that he still needs to get the girl home and finish up a few things before he makes it back" Blue mentions. She never liked the idea of working in a Suit. Yet we needed the money and she's not letting a little girl suffer on her watch.

Enjoying the continued banter between them! The cast are really great together and they genuinely feel like family and a complete unit with all of the entertaining banter you would expect to see between them! I can understand Natasha's feelings about dealing with the Blue Devils but you have to admit that they definitely got the job done and I know that Natasha won't regret that part in the least! Enjoy the celebration drink! You've definitely earned it!

He had never known his own family, the only one who had raised him was a veteran Venturi. Yet Riku's own family wouldn't even throw a bucket of piss on him if he were in flames due to him being a Striga. So when news of Riku being put on trial for the murder of his nephew, a child king, reached The Yokai Swordsman's ears he would not hesitate in saving the life of someone he cared about. Even if Riku didn't demand a Trial By Combat.

The swordsman tries to mask the anger that is building within him. He knew Riku's family hated him but to falsely accuse him of a crime of this magnitude?!

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, in an attempt to calm himself. Opening his eyes he spoke in a surprisingly even manner. "You did the right thing in contacting me"

There's a moment of relief in Akira's eyes. "Father would be pleased of this. However, Sir. There is something you must know about The Champion you'll be facing."

Fortunately for Dean, Sam is too hungry to even warrant his comment a proper response.

"Besides, based on what Bobby has told us, he's harmless. Plus he's drinking buds with Cass when the two are off the clock" Dean notes

"Cas. As in Angel of The Lord Cas? As in-"

"Consuming an alcoholic beverage yes. I mean if it's cool with Jesus, water into wine and such, then it's fair game to Cas I'd say." Before Dean could say any further his stomach starts to growl. "Come on. I hear the burgers in this joint is awesome"

"You're paying BTW. Consider it a receipt for the comment you made earlier"

"I regret nothing! And totally worth it"

Liking how you're merging the two universes together!

As for how Monitor Head can drink wine? He's an otherwordly entity. He doesn't need to follow logic!

I'm enjoying the brothers interactions as well! They're great! 

I'm looking forward to seeing more tomorrow for now I am heading to bed!

The Bifrost Diner! A respectable local diner that's one of the top tourist attractions within the town. The interior of the diner resembles that of a fantasy inn and the exterior just adds to the decor. The tourist loves it due to just how much it stands out when compared to other diners and the food within the place is to die for. And every now and then you'd have your eccentric patrons who'd come to the establishment every now and then.

One customer, in particular, dressed as a circus clown, is wolfing down a plate full of beef ribs like The Blob in an all-you-can-eat buffet. Meanwhile, The Winchesters are enjoying the infamous Bifrost Burger

"Oh maaan that must be what a burger sent from heaven taste like," Dean said, with his hand over his stomach, and his back resting against the wooden chair. While Sammy is inclined to agree he watches in astonishment that his brother just finished that burger in record time while he is only halfway finished.



"I take it another one claimed by Bifrost's famous," Sally Bjornson said cheerfully. Daughter of Freya and Rose(Yup, two mommies!) and one of the waitresses of the diner dressed in a black t-shirt with the image of the Rainbow Bridge sprawled across the statuesque's young woman's ample breast.

"Between this and a cute waitress, I'd say this earns five stars from me" Dean grinned at the statuesque beauty.

"Quite the charmer aren't you? So what brings you, boys, to Shepard?"

"Just visiting some old friends and a little R & R" Sam explained

"So you must be the boy toy Jean has told me about" Sally teased, causing Sam to blush.

"That he is," Dean said with a cheeky grin.

"Well, any friend of Big J's is a friend of mine. If there's anything I can do to make your stay here a pleasant one just let me know"

While Sam and Sally are conversing with one another Dean just looked down sheepishly and scratched the back of his neck at the pet name that Sally gave Jean.

As Sally leaves their station he watches her for a split second, noticing the way her black jeans compliment her athletic frame.

"Down boy." Sammy teased Dean

"Ha and ha. Seriously do you think there's an off chance that someone like me..you know"

"I'd say, given our experience, nothing is impossible" Sam encouraged.

"And that is why you're my Wingman Goose" Dean toasted his soda to Sam

"Woah Goose died in that movie. Besides why cant I be Maverick"

"Oh come on Sammy, you know I'm more Maverick material"

The clown just finished his plate of beef ribs and gets up from his seat. He notices the Winchesters talking to each other and made a beeline toward them.

The hairs on the back of Sammy's neck stood on end, he looks up at a pretty tall clown standing before the Winchesters. "Can we help you with something?"

The Clown smiles at Sam

"Not yet, enjoy your meal"

Sam watches the clown make his leave.

"Oh man, I thought he'd never leave" Oreo, the animalkin cat-girl waitress commented while she walked into the kitchen area, and greets her homegirls Karaime and Sally.

"Shake it off, Oreo. Even a guy like Poko wouldn't try anything on a Neutral Zone." Karaime Ashdown commented.

Oreo took a deep breath and sighed. "You're right K. Chalk it up to pre-Harvest Jitters."

The Bifrost Diner! A respectable local diner that's one of the top tourist attractions within the town. The interior of the diner resembles that of a fantasy inn and the exterior just adds to the decor. The tourist loves it due to just how much it stands out when compared to other diners and the food within the place is to die for. And every now and then you'd have your eccentric patrons who'd come to the establishment every now and then.

One customer, in particular, dressed as a circus clown, is wolfing down a plate full of beef ribs like The Blob in an all-you-can-eat buffet. Meanwhile, The Winchesters are enjoying the infamous Bifrost Burger

"Oh maaan that must be what a burger sent from heaven taste like," Dean said, with his hand over his stomach, and his back resting against the wooden chair. While Sammy is inclined to agree he watches in astonishment that his brother just finished that burger in record time while he is only halfway finished.



"I take it another one claimed by Bifrost's famous," Sally Bjornson said cheerfully. Daughter of Freya and Rose(Yup, two mommies!) and one of the waitresses of the diner dressed in a black t-shirt with the image of the Rainbow Bridge sprawled across the statuesque's young woman's ample breast.

"Between this and a cute waitress, I'd say this earns five stars from me" Dean grinned at the statuesque beauty.

"Quite the charmer aren't you? So what brings you, boys, to Shepard?"

"Just visiting some old friends and a little R & R" Sam explained

"So you must be the boy toy Jean has told me about" Sally teased, causing Sam to blush.

"That he is," Dean said with a cheeky grin.

"Well, any friend of Big J's is a friend of mine. If there's anything I can do to make your stay here a pleasant one just let me know"

While Sam and Sally are conversing with one another Dean just looked down sheepishly and scratched the back of his neck at the pet name that Sally gave Jean.

As Sally leaves their station he watches her for a split second, noticing the way her black jeans compliment her athletic frame.

"Down boy." Sammy teased Dean

"Ha and ha. Seriously do you think there's an off chance that someone like me..you know"

"I'd say, given our experience, nothing is impossible" Sam encouraged.

"And that is why you're my Wingman Goose" Dean toasted his soda to Sam

"Woah Goose died in that movie. Besides why cant I be Maverick"

"Oh come on Sammy, you know I'm more Maverick material"

The clown just finished his plate of beef ribs and gets up from his seat. He notices the Winchesters talking to each other and made a beeline toward them.

The hairs on the back of Sammy's neck stood on end, he looks up at a pretty tall clown standing before the Winchesters. "Can we help you with something?"

The Clown smiles at Sam

"Not yet, enjoy your meal"

Sam watches the clown make his leave.

Brothers truly make the best wingmen! 

I feel like the clown is definitely going to get up to some funny business. Keep an eye on him boys!

Glad to see Oreo and Karaime back! Oreo's a good kitty and Karaime is definitely an interesting character in her own right and of course Sally is the perfect lady to introduce them to The Diner and Shepard! This is going to be a blast!
