Prologue
Shepard's Adoptive Son
David King age 16
David King is flying. And he's having the time of his life.
He soars in the air, higher than he could possibly go. All smiles as he enjoys the wind on his face and the feel of flying through the clouds in the sky. This isn't like his usual dreams that pose as a warning of things to come. He hasn't had those kinds of dreams in a while.
He has had this on a few occasions. His first dream was him flying clear across town and then halfway across the United Republic. Currently, he wanted to test the true limits of his abilities so he decided to take his flying journey upward. Just as soon as he finds himself nearly exiting the earth's orbit he felt the whole world around him shift.

David left the Barn to find Jesse Stark waiting for him outside. "Good morning, Jesse. Didn't wait too long did you?"
"Oh n-no! I-I wanted to let you know that breakfast is almost ready. It's going to be just us and Cody as Sis had to leave early to check out the manor" Jess said quietly while trying not to stare too long at David. He had just gotten out of the shower not too long ago so his hair has that gorgeous morning-do look. Not to mention how his skin is now glistening. Teenagers and their hormones.
"Well then. Wouldn't want to keep Mom waiting. Lead the way, Jess"
Jesse nods and did just so.
Jess and Dave have known each other since they were kids. Ever since Jess and her older sister Jean moved to Shepard they were introduced through Kristina, Public Relations of the SC. David made it a point to make friends with her. She wasn't sure of him at first as she and her sister just escaped from an intense situation but she grew to trust him. Ever since David saved them from
The Christmas Slasher their bond became even stronger. Despite knowing about David's alien origin. Ironically enough she always wanted an alien friend ever since she saw ET at the age of 5. She's strange that way.
David had always been gentle and non-threatening with her. He seemed to innate sense that she had issues with men, with a small exception of her
Grandfather. David took great care to show her nothing but kindness and love. He's the closest she ever had, who's not her sister, to a confidant.

"Oh maan am I stuffed!" Jess leaned against her seat with her hand over her stomach feeling comfortably fulfilled after a hearty breakfast constructed by Cody King.
"Likewise Mom, you really outdid yourself." David complimented before helping his mom clear the table and do the dishes.
"I aim to please." Cody smiled before turning the faucet on.
If you'd tell Cody ten years ago that she'd semi-retire in a small town, raising a kid from another world and then raising another kid who came from a family of Slashers she'd probably tell you that's some compelling fan fiction you've conjured up. Yet that sums up her life as it is recently. If you'd ask Cody this probably wouldn't be at the top of her list of what she'd do when she'd retire but, in the end, she's pleased with how things turned out.
"So how do you see things going for the Hero Agency?" David asked while getting the suds ready.
"The usual weirdness but nothing too Chaotic. Which makes sense given the Harvest Season and all"Cody stated while she uses her powers to straighten the kitchen. "Which reminds me, I'm going to be doing some errands for Lady Clementine so I'd like for you to look after the place"
David's eyes widened, "You mean"
"The office is yours. At least for the day. The way I see it you're responsible enough to look after it" Cody complimented
Already up Jess hugged David from behind, "Awesome! That means I get to be your Girl Friday!"
"Pause" Cody chuckled
"Oh mom, it's not like that" David blushed

Population: 110,522(And that's not counting the supernatural representatives)
The poster child of how an outsider would picture a quaint small town. Although it hasn't been so small as of recently. The town has been facing a Boom Period that has caused not just a spike in tourists but people who'd like to move here to get away from the craziness of the big city. If you'd ask any local in Shepard they're known for three things: Football(Home of The Shepard University Lycans), it's Fall Festivals that occurs every October. And the most important thing is the strange occurrences that would go on in this town.
Originally most would balk at the happenings as a hoax. Till an incident ended convincing outsiders that it's not. You'd think it would scare anyone away from the town but it's considered the primary source of tourism that occurs. From The Lizzie Bennet Murder Home. The Cave of Flesh. And the infamous Dog Park.
There are a few important rules when it comes to The Dog Park.
1. Do Not Go Into The Dog Park. There is a protection field around it for a reason.
2. Dogs don't even go to the Dog Park. Because they're aware of what's beyond it.
3. If you get a strange sensation of going into The Dog Park then contact our local Wizard Johanna Stark(No relation to Jess and Jean). But whatever you do, DON'T GO INTO THE DOG PARK!
4. Don't worry about Monitor Head. He claims he's a researcher studying the park. He's harmless. As long as you don't interfere in his research.
5. The Town of Shepard is not responsible, in the event these rules are broken. Whatever happens, is on you.
It's also known for local resident David King. He became a local celebrity for stopping The Christmas Slasher when he was a kid and his status hasn't waned ever since.
