Good ol' Andy: Her Ride Or Die Chick. No matter what life threw their way, even after everyone else abandoned her, even through Juvvie and Rehab, Andy was there for her every step of the way. She never would've gotten through everything without her and Lucia owed her best friend more than she could ever repay. So for now she offered her a stick of gum that Andy accepted. "You're right though." Lucia continued. "Wanna go on that date? “Fuck it.” Wanna approach that girl but don’t know what to say? “Fuck it.” Wanna talk to that person beside you on the bus? “Fuck it” Just go for it and you’ll mostly find out that all the bad ideas of what will/can happen are only in your head and it will turn out 10 times better: Sleep anywhere, hit anything, smash anyone! What's the point of living if we can't feel alive?" "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck." Andy replied and fist bumped her and popped the gum. "We've only got one life in this world, probably, depending on what you believe in and what's waiting for us in The Great Beyond, so take the life you're already living and live that party life! Responsibly of course. I am still responsible for you after all." "And I wouldn't trust anybody else with my sobriety and safety other than the world's best Ride Or Die Chick." “ Since we’re on the subject of cute girls” Andy glanced at Mia, who is sitting a few rows across from them before advising Lucia. “ use that philosophy to snag your first summer girl before your competition next to her will” "I mean...I know you're right, but, would she really be interested? Especially after she learns about me?" "You're a recovering addict, yes, but the key word is recovering. You've put in the work, Lucia, you made it through everything and you're getting better. You are better.. you're getting better all the time. A little bit better every day. She'll see that in you. 'Sides: You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Wanna talk to that girl?" "Fuck it." She blew a bubble, popped it and resumed chewing. "Alright. Lets do this." She resumed chewing her gum while she watched them until she found a pause in the conversation and then she stood up, adjusted her hair and clothes, and walked up to Mia and Arya. 'Sup?" She asked while leaning on the seat. "Ya want some gum? I've got plenty."

Rachel Skarsgard, one of the counselors at Camp Shadow Woods smiled at her campers. The camp has most certainly picked up an eccentric bunch, which could open up to a rather interesting summer. She glanced at her cousin Arya, who was busy chatting with Mia and Lucia. It had been a rather difficut year since her parents adopted her into the family. The kind of year that pushed the limits of her family's patience. But it's good to see that Arya is coming around and making friends. She turned and took her seat at the front of the bus. "Having them sing was an awkward start but it certainly livened the atmosphere." Peter Novak complimented, already planted his seat next to Rachel. "Keep winning them over like this then it won't be long till they consider you their unofficial big sister before the summer is over images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Clark-smallville-135290_1280_1024.jpgRachel's cheeks turned pink at the complement, "I don't know about that but points for flattery regardless." The two chared a kind chuckle.

The two shared a kind chuckle. "Although...we are going to have to talk to those two about their swearing. I know they're hearing stuff like that all the time these days, and even in our day, but they still shouldn't be doing that around the campers." Rachel pointed out. "No problem. We can take them aside after they get off the bus and start settling in. You read her profile?" "Yeah. Don't worry. We know how to carefully handle at risk kids like her and I'm sure Arya and the others can help her find her way. Before this Summer Camp is over with the kids will find themselves with the biggest group of friends ever and discover the true meaning of friendship and we'll help them become their best selves." "You said it! This is going to be the best Summer of their lives!" "Of everyone's lives." She winked.

Peter smiled wrapping a friendly arm around Rachel, she leaned against him and rest her head on his shoulder. "Speaking of profile, you've read the one regarding Mia, right?"
Peter nods and sighs. "I say the best course of action woud be to not mention it unless she's ready to. All we can do now is make sure that she feels safe"

"I say the best course of action would be to not mention it unless she's ready to. All we can do now is make sure that she feels safe" "That's all we can do for all of them." He reminded her. "It's why we brought Soldier Boy along." "Cody Plissken." She nodded. "Well...I mean...you can't get much safer than bringing along a Military Vet. Might be a bit overkill for a bear or whatever but still..." ""Hey, nothing's too big if it means keeping these kids safe. Nothing's gonna happen to them under our watch. This is going to be the best Camping Trip of their lives." "And help them along the whole time." She glanced back at Mia, smiled, and looked back to Peter. "You're right. Lets do it. Lets make this the best Camp in the history of Camping. We'll help them along the entire time and if Mia decides she's ready to talk then we'll talk to her. In the meantime, we'll help her and the others settle in."

Chandler Bryton passed the time on the bus to the camp by playing around with his rugged wearable computer. Sure his dad had wanted him to get away from technology but Chandler had smuggled a few goods with him inside of the Urban Carry Pack that was was now seated on his legs on top of his self-invented Bryton Smartshoes. Shoes that could tie themselves, warm your feet, absorb shocks and track your steps/calories along with having a high-tech futuristic aesthetic. While his dad wanted Chandler to get out into the world, to get away from technology, to build character, to make more friends, etc...and Chandler was completely on board with all of that, he also saw it as a chance to multitask by demonstrating the technology to his fellow campers and line up some future customers. Plus he just figured they'd be easier on his feet among the rugged outdoors than regular shoes. The curly brown chocolate haired young man in the orange-blue jacket, white Superman Logo Shirt, and Blue jeans adjusted his glasses and used his wrist-computer to mark another checkpoint on their route. They were getting close to the campsite of course but he wanted these checkpoints marked off in case it ever became necessary to drive out. He'd want to know where they'd be going. Chandler doubted it would be necessary buuuuut....he'd seen enough Summer Camp Slasher Movies to know to be prepared. Seated next to Chandler was a handsome young man who could best be described as a 'pretty boy' straight out of an Anime or a Fantasy Novel. Black hair, pretty boy looks, black jacket, white shirt, black jeans, short sleeves, he looked like he just walked out of a fantasy series! If this were a fantasy series, he'd probably be an MC Bad Boy Type. As it was though, 'Pretty Boy' was repeatedly flipping through a large notebook he had on his lap like he was either studying for a test or worried about something. Deciding to make conversation, or at least attempt to, Chandler cleared his throat. "Uhh....hi?" He asked awkwardly. "Uhm, what are you reading? If you don't mind me asking?" 'Pretty Boy' looked up from his book and held it up to him and Chandler noticed the book's title: Keith Lance's Big Book Of The Strange And Bizarre!"My big book of the paranormal and bizarre that I've been chronicling. Most of it's from stuff I discovered online but a lot of it is based around events that have in fact been happening on the world and have been caught on camera. Pretty much all of it is just questions at this point but I'm hoping to find some answers here in Shadow Woods." Keith explained. "Paranormal Mysteries? Here? Like what?" Keith handed him the book. "You mean you haven't heard about the disappearances over the ages in this area?" "What? Seriously?" He began flipping through it and looking through the notes he'd made. "Seriously. I did a lot of research about this place prior to coming here and there's been quite a few unexplained disappearances here over the years. The police investigated them but it was always chalked up to wolves or bear attacks. I'm hoping I can take it up with the counselors when we get there. Literally the first chance we get." Keith told him while waving to the counselors. "Oh man. This is crazy. Do you...do you think we're going to be in danger?" "I certainly hope not. I'm sure the counselors will have some kind of security measures in place to protect us. So long as we follow the safety procedures and stay within the camp grounds though we should be fine." "Oh okay...y-yeah...lets...lets certainly hope so." He tapped his feet. "But hey! If we have to run! I have my super shoes on!" "I've been meaning to ask about those. What's up with your shoes, bro?" "Do you like them?" Chandler asked excitedly. "There my Bryton Family Smartshoes! They can tie themselves, warm your feet, absorb shocks and track your steps and calories the whole time! Self-invented, patented and copyrighted by The Brighton Family! That's us!" "Seriously? You fit all that into shoes? And you made those?" "Homemade!" "That is awesome man! What else do you have?" "Heee! Check this out!" He raised up his SmartBag. "I designed this on the concept of solar bags! It's kevlar lined and absorbs sunlight through solar panels and converts the light energy into electric energy which is stored in the storage battery. It is a must-have item for outdoor enthusiasts and people on business trips, allowing you to enjoy the convenience of charging anytime, anywhere. The solar energy converts into electrical energy to generate electric current. Solar bags not only have the functions of ordinary luggage, but also provide different interfaces to power different electronic products. It is suitable for a variety of styles of mobile phones, MP3/MP4, digital cameras, IPAD, computers and other electronic products, helping people solve the practical problems of real-life electronic products charging difficulty, especially essential products for electronic products such as business trips, travel, and mountaineering. The solar bag and the luggage are integrated, convenient to carry, simple to operate, safe to use, novel in style and familiar to the younger generation." He explained. "So basically I took all of that and compressed it down into my bag. Never know what you might need when you're out in the wild." "That is crazy! What else? What else?" He tapped his glasses. "Night BookLight Glasses, perfect for reading at night or seeing in the dark." He pulled a bag containing a pair of crazy looking scissors. "Hedge Scissors in case you really need to cut something." He put them away and pulled out another one. "Carrot Trimmers." He put that away and took out a pair of gloves. "Anti-cut gloves." He replaced them and patted his belt. "Self-defense coin purse slapper." He zipped up his bag. "And a few other things I'm currently just fiddling with. I wasn't able to smuggle a lot of tech here with me so I've been making due with what I was able to slip in with me." "You're really prepared, huh?" "I didn't know what to expect out here so I just grabbed a few things." Chandler summarized. "To be honest I don't even know what to expect when I walk out the door in the morning. The whole world's going crazy." "Don't I know it." He offered the book again. "Go ahead and flip through this bad boy. Shadow Woods isn't the only place I've been researching."

“ Since we’re on the subject of cute girls” Andy glanced at Mia, who is sitting a few rows across from them before advising Lucia. I've got plenty." Arya and Mia accepted the gum and noticed the logo on it. "Mother fff-" Arya paused as she noticed the counselors looking back at them. "fffreakin' hubbard!" She finished to save herself a potential lecture and then returned her attention to the gum. "Is this what I think it is?" "Candy Emporium Sugar Rush Bazooka Bubble Gum?" Mia finished in surprise. "Isn't this stuff crazy expensive?" "Some of the priciest gum around but it's worth it! Every second with this is an explosion of flavor! Beats the daylights out of anything that you'll find at the store." "I'll say...h-how did you even get your hands on this?" Mia asked her. "My parents bought it for me. Looong story there. Lets just say it's soothing. But enough about that. Go ahead. Pop it in." The two girls gulped and looked down at it. With its diamond-encrusted wrapper and hefty price tag, it was clear this was no ordinary piece of gum. "You ready?" Mia asked eagerly. "Oh yeah." They unwrapped them, revealing the gleaming white gum inside, licked their lips and popped it into their mouths and began chewing carefully and thoughtfully. The effect was near instant. As they chewed the gum they found themselves immersed in a world of flavor unlike anything they had ever experienced before! The sweetness was intense yet subtle. With notes of cotton candy and blueberry that lingered on their tongues after each chew. The gum itself was surprisingly soft and pliable yet it had a satisfying texture that made them want to keep chewing. After a few cycles of this, they felt tingling sensations in their mouths as the gum began to work its magic. They closed their eyes and focused on the sensation, savoring every moment of the unique experience that was the Bazooka Bubble Gum. The flavor? An explosion of fruity goodness that fills your senses before you've even popped it into your mouth. It was unlike anything they'd ever tasted. A medley of fruits, candies and sweetness that's almost too much to handle. They chewed and the gum began to expand, filling up their mouths with its incredible taste and texture. With each passing moment, the sensation became more intense, more thrilling! For a brief moment they were transported to a world of pure, unadulterated joy, where anything is possible and every bite is pure bliss. And that, my friends, is priceless.

Another young camper, this time a rather tall and lean young man with spikey blonde hair, watched the trio sitting back and enjoying the Super Gum. "What the hell?" He asked himself. (Did she give them Blue Sky Gum or something?) Irvine Oleg Finnley Finley Tollemache pondered. (And what the hell is Bazooka Gum?) Jason Skinner, the brown haired cool kid next to him who'd been kicking back and relaxing the whole ride, lowered his headphones and smiled. (So it does exist. And here I thought it was just a myth. Never met anyone who could actually afford it...you know? Hey, good for them. That's some cool stuff they got their hands on...hey...wait a second? That girl...) He looked at Mia who was in the middle of a conversation with the others while enjoying the Super Gum. (Haven't I seen her on TV somewhere?)

Sam Sawyer had to put the comic down for a moment so that his mind can rationalize the scene before him. He take a deep breath and lifts the comic up and turns the next page. Stunned to discover what awaits him. So stunned he had to check the rating on the comic before he can continue. (Oh..My) He felt an arm that belonged to his friend Jacob Novak, "See, what do I tell you. It gets better the further you go along" He whispered to his friend's ear. "So...Hela can swing that way" Sam asked, blushing "Brochacho she's a fucking Goddess. She swings every wich way" Jacob pats Sam on the shoulder, "Just keep that between us and keep that in a safe place. WOuldn't want the counselors confiscating that" Sam nods and puts it in his backpack. As he looked up he noticed the redhead from afar talking with some of the other girls. Yet there's something familiar about her. "Spot a summer fling already" Jacob teased Sam shook his head eradically. "Don't hide it bro. I can spot these things" "No it's just. Take a look at the girl over there" Sam motioned where Mia was sitting Jacob did just that then the realization hit him as he uttered under his breath. "The fuck"

I like the banter between the two bros. You can feel the friendship and I don't blame the kid for his reaction to the comic! Looking at the full thing is pretty crazy! Plus, there's Hela's past with Dani Moonstar if you take that panel into consideration! And it looks like Mia's history is already starting to catch up with her! But hopefully the kids are tactful enough to not bring it up until she decides to do so herself!

Seated further back in the bus, Hunter Peregrine 'Falcon' Wilder looked out the window as the bus drove past all of the landmarks en route to the Shadow Woods Summer Camp. He wasn't entirely sure what to expect out here. He hadn't been to a camp since he was a little kid and now here he was as a teenager going back to his first one in years. As he spared a look around at the other kids he assumed that they were in the same position as him: Just a bunch of kids who came here to have a nice fun relaxing vacation at a Summer Camp or whatever other reason. Still, he hoped he could make some friends here and Hunter had to admit: It would feel good to get away from Tranquility. Things had just gotten weird back home and he needed some time away from it. Besides, he couldn't wait to show up everyone in whatever sporting events they had here in the camp. He checked his blazing red spiked gelled up mohawk, smiled and relaxed in his seat. This was going to be a really good trip. He was going to be a superstar, he was going to make some new friends, and he would smack down anybody who messed with them. - Carmalita Cunningham finished writing a roughdraft of a Summer Camp Song to pass the time and tapped her pencil against her notebook as she considered it. In the heart of Shadow Woods, where the sun doesn't shine, There's a summer camp that's waiting just for you and I. A place where adventure calls and memories are made, In the land of magic and mystery, where our dreams collide. We'll sing songs around the campfire, roast marshmallows too, Laughter fills the night air, as we say goodnight to you. In the Shadow Woods, under the stars above, We'll create memories that will last a lifetime through and through. Canoeing down the river, fishing for our dinner, Cooking s'mores on sticks, it's always been our winner. Hiking up the mountain, exploring caves so deep, Finding treasures untold, our spirits we will keep. We'll sing songs around the campfire, roast marshmallows too, Laughter fills the night air, as we say goodnight to you. In the Shadow Woods, under the stars above, We'll create memories that will last a lifetime through and through. So pack your bags, and don't forget your hiking boots, Get ready for the time of your life, it's gonna be a scoop. From archery to horseback riding, there's so much to do, At Shadow Woods Summer Camp, we'll make memories brand new. We'll sing songs around the campfire, roast marshmallows too, Laughter fills the night air, as we say goodnight to you. In the Shadow Woods, under the stars above, We'll create memories that will last a lifetime through and through "Hmmm....it's okay...but I think it needs some spice. It feels like I'm missing something here. Then again I haven't even arrived yet. I'll come up with something else after a day or two." She decided and made a single check mark on the notebook. Carmalita closed up her notebook and placed the pencil on her ear and looked outside at the passing city streets, landmarks, people, cars and everything else and stretched and crossed her legs. As she settled into the plush seat on the fancy bus, she couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement wash over her. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the gentle hum of the engine was a soothing lullaby. She was on her way to the Shadow Woods Summer Camp, and she couldn't wait to experience all the adventures that awaited her. The bus was decked out in luxurious decor, with plush leather seats and soft, comfortable pillows. The windows were large and clear, allowing her to take in the breathtaking views of the countryside as we rode. The air conditioning was set to a perfect temperature, and the scent of fresh air and leather filled the air. As they made their way down the winding road, the trees grew taller and the air grew cooler. The Shadow Woods Summer Camp was located deep in the heart of the forest, and the peaceful atmosphere was palpable. Carmalita could already tell that this was a fantastic trip. - Sun Hsiao meanwhile was completely zonked out and listening to music through his earbuds in his ears while he relaxed. It was a long ride after all and he figured he'd just take a nap where he could get in and he'd be completely recharged by the time they got there. To be honest he was primarily here because his dad caught him lacking in school and while Hisao had made up the grades and brought them right back up, he still wasn't happy about it and had Hsiao sent off to the Summer Camp in hopes that they'd 'straighten him out' with hard work and, if he pulled it off, there'd be a surprise waiting for him back and all would be forgiven. So now he just to make it through a Summer Camp and make some new friends and he'd be off the hook. Somehow, Hsiao just felt like he'd hit the jackpot. And who knows? Maybe he'd end up having a Summer Romance with some cute girl while he was here. In the meantime he was kicking back and chillaxing on their ride eagerly anticipating the fun that awaited them.

Dean Summers savored the rhythmic thump of the bus's wheels beneath him, a steady heartbeat to the journey ahead. His feet rested on the dashboard, tapping out an unspoken rhythm to the music coursing through his headphones, the latest dark metal masterpiece by the enigmatic band, Maidens of The Dark One. It was a soundtrack for the night, for the hidden depths of the soul that Dean knew better than most. Deep within the caverns of his mind, an elusive urge whispered to him like a seductive muse. The J, that forbidden temptation he had smuggled along for the ride, called out to him. It was his secret companion, a flame he longed to ignite. But he knew better than to succumb to its charms, not in the presence of his fellow counselors(with the exception of one) – not in the proximity of the campers. Especialy one that comes to mind Lucia. Lucia, the camper whose history Dean had read with a heavy heart. A recovering addict. Dean wasn't anybody's role model; that distinction belonged to Peter, the sanctimonious Boy Scout. But he, Dean, understood Lucia's struggle. For he too had danced with the shadows, his life marked by a journey in and out of Juvie, forever yearning to escape its grasp. The bus rumbled on, and Dean allowed the epic melodies to envelop him. The music flowed through his veins like liquid darkness, each note echoing the complexities of his own life. As he closed his eyes, he saw a world where he could guide Lucia, share his hard-earned wisdom, and perhaps help her find the strength to stay on the path of recovery. A counselor, in his own way. The journey beckoned with promises of adventure, but Dean wasn't one for specific goals. He aimed for a summer of quiet, a summer with little drama. Without even glancing back, he sensed the hushed whispers and soft laughter of his fellow counselors, Peter and Rachel, cozied up next to each other. There would be little drama, he thought, but he knew well that it wouldn't mean it would be easy.

As the bus rumbled down the winding road, it sliced through the heart of the forest-filled countryside, where the trees stood like ancient sentinels guarding the secrets of the land. Their branches reached out, interlocking above the road, casting dappled shadows that danced upon the asphalt in a hypnotic waltz. The air was thick with the scent of pine and damp earth, and the bus's wheels whispered their progress, leaving barely a mark on this hidden path. Amidst the natural cathedral of trees, Camp Shadow Woods beckoned like a siren in the daylight. Its presence was at once inviting and foreboding, a place where mysteries and memories intertwined. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, revealing the camp's rustic cabins and weathered signs, all bearing witness to countless summers of laughter and whispered campfire tales. It was here, beneath the canopy of the shadowy woods, that adventures and terrors awaited, just as the authors of those campfire tales had promised, where the line between reality and dream became as thin as a spider's thread in the eerie quiet of a sun-dappled afternoon.

It gives both of them someone else they can bond with during their camping trip and hopefully help each through their past and current problems. Lucia would definitely relate to him right back after all. This trip will be good for both of them.
